Patterson pieced 2 different stories, both Christmas related, in one book. I was really disappointed when I figured this out, at about the 6 hour point. Both stories live up to your high expectations for Patterson, but the overall feel is just disjointed. I really wish both were better developed separately.

A little far fetched
I love the Alex Cross series. But i feel like this was just over the top with Alex being the only one that could solve all the crimes. In a 36 hour period he was in the mix on EVERYTHING. However I still love the relationships that he has with his family and friends and the dilemma that he is struggling with that I’m sure will show up down the line. It also makes the reader ask, what would you do in that situation with lives on the line. Especially reading it in 2023 and all the things that have been going on. Overall worth the read.

A really enjoyable read.

Yes, I felt like I was a part of Alex's family.

When Alex was sitting in on the interrogation of the terrorist.

I have since read several books where more than one person was narrating the story.
At first this was hard for me to get use to, but this narration was really good.

Great Christmas action
Was driving across country for the holidays and this was the perfect book to listen to. Two Christmas adventures wrapped in one book. Not complicated stories just well thought out and sucks you in. It's not a long book and you can get through it in no time. Highly recommend.

James Patterson never fails to deliver. Merry Christmas Alex Cross is an entertaining read.
