Did you ever get the feeling that the world was a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?
The voice acting and sound effects made it sound like you were actually in the presence of Holmes and Watson. Furthermore, the acting done by both Clive Merrison (Holmes) and Michael Williams (Watson) has always been something that has made me want to see these two actually act it out on the screen. I grew up listening to these stories and it is very nostalgic.
Holmes - Merrison brings him to life the way that other actors have been unable to. The radio medium is much more difficult and his acting and speaking is not forced as he portrays Holmes.
"Addictive Enjoyable Sherlock - We Love Them 💚"
These Sherlocks are perfectly produced. Great sound giving you the fantasy that you have gone back to the times when gas lights, street traders and carriage and pairs were the norm. Each full cast story is perfectly acted by Merrison and Williams who play their parts with
aplomb with just enough wit without being turned into a comedy show. These two are the best Radio Sherlock and Watson I have had the pleasure to listen to. The rest of the cast are professionals too.
So enjoyable are these shows; I have bought the lot and have every single volume in my Audible collection. My friends and family have now become fans too! We listen almost daily and never get tired of Conan Doyals great work. Good job we do not feel the same about the works as Doyal (who grew to hate Sherlock) WE LOVE THEM :)
If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes you will get great enjoyment listening to these; in fact they grow so much on you; the shows are quite addictive and you will listen over and over and still want to listen!
