unable to listen

I couldn't get through 5 chapters of this book. The narrator is the worst I've encountered so far on audible. I am extremely disappointed.

Dull and Predictable

Imagine someone speaking to you for hours on end with the EXACT SAME INTONATION for each sentence . The story line was nearly A's intolerable. Damsel in distress, hunky guy, slimy husband, whole lot of "I just can't " dialogue. Skip it.

Pick this one.

If you love to read mysteries/ psychological thrillers but you often have a problem enjoying them wholly as your fun is taken away before the second chapter has ended because you already know 'who's done it' - you might like this book. I had "figured it out" plenty of times throughout listening to this book, but only to find myself doubting my thinking over and over again. I enjoyed the narration. Listening to this story in an accent that is different from my own added to the intrigue, I think. I really enjoyed this book!

The most Predictible and cliched book I've read.

What would have made Look Behind You better?

An original thought

What do you think your next listen will be?

Stephen king or Jodi Piccoult possibly.

How could the performance have been better?

A better book.

What character would you cut from Look Behind You?

This book was so bad that I actually wanted the whiny main character to die. Then at least I could have said it had an enexpected ending.

Any additional comments?

I almost never write negative reviews because I admire anyone who can write, but this book was so bad that it was a complete waste of my money and time.

Page Turner!

A little predictable yet still suspenseful, a little cliché yet still interesting, a little too drawn out yet still compelling.

Keeps your attention

Pretty decent story. Not a masterpiece but a good little thriller that keeps you guessing and holds your attention.

Decent

I got the book free trough my Amazon prime reading. So that's why I'm not too disappointed with this book. It didn't cost me anything. I wouldn't be too thrilled if I put a credit on it, but perhaps that's a fault of my own. I'm not entirely sure this genre is for me. I'd say it's a bit predictable, in a sense. You'll probably guess what happened within the first few chapters. There are some missing pieces and red herrings, etc. you get closure at the end, which is nice. Overall, it kept me busy and helped pass the hour of lunch at work. The narrator does well.

So to summarize.
Being free was good.
The narrator did well.
The story was predictable.
But there's still enough story to tell to keep you occupied.

Very Enjoyable

The story kept me guessing until the end, and the narrator was able to convey the tension very well!
