Publisher's summary

Lisa Scottoline breaks new ground in Look Again, a thrilling audiobook that's both heart-stopping and heart-breaking, and sure to have new fans and book clubs buzzing.

When reporter Ellen Gleeson gets a "Have You Seen This Child?" flyer in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again, and her heart stops—the child in the photo is identical to her adopted son, Will. Her every instinct tells her to deny the similarity between the boys, because she knows her adoption was lawful. But she's a journalist and won't be able to stop thinking about the photo until she figures out the truth.

And she can't shake the question: if Will rightfully belongs to someone else, should she keep him or give him up? She investigates, uncovering clues no one was meant to discover, and when she digs too deep, she risks losing her own life—and that of the son she loves.

Critic reviews

“Actress Mary Stuart Masterson's warm, precise voice enlists the listener's sympathy for Ellen, even in her most boneheaded, self-sabotaging moments, and also provides convincing accents for the secondary characters.” —AudioFile

“Narrated by actress Mary Stuart Masterson, Look Again is a suspenseful story that tugs at the heart, as listeners follow Ellen's determined search to uncover Will's mysterious history, raising questions of where he belongs--and who he belongs to.” —Kirkus Reviews

“As skillful as Scottoline's thriller is, it is enhanced by Mary Stuart Masterson's performance. Her characterizations are distinct and evocative, her tone remains smooth, even while ratcheting up the tension and suspense. Listeners will be wholly absorbed by this moving story.” —Publishers Weekly

I loved the twists and turns in the plot. When I thought I figured it out there came a new twist. I highly recommend this book. Make sure you have a box of tissues by your side!

Torn…..

I was looking for another Mary & Bennie story but this isn’t that. I don’t recall seeing anything in other reviews about that. As a result, I was a tad skeptical and not sure I wanted to listen to it. But, I kept on because of what I’d paid for it. I enjoyed it eventually (remember I was waiting for Mary or Bennie to be introduced). I knew what the ending would be before it happened but it was an interesting journey getting there!

A Mother's Love for Her Children However They Come to Her.

Look Again is a good story. I did not like how they just took the child away and did not consider what was best for the child. He did not understand, just ripped away from his mother. I liked the book. The story was told well. I liked her boss and how he tried to help his employees and help her.

way too much details

This was my first book from this author, and I am sorry to say it will be my last. The plot was OK, but I found it had way too much details and made me more impatiant for it to end than looking forward to find out how. Learn from Nora Roberts when it comes to keeping a listener glued to the earpiece with every book.

Really, Really Good

One of the best books I've read out of the mystery, crime solving drama category. ..probably the BEST! Wasn't sure I would like this after reading the description, but I was very wrong! The narration was fantastic also!
