Meh...

Ninety percent of the book is A+. Solid Clancy. At the end, the end he pulls Wolfe "Man in Full" style plot twist. What?! Other than that... Great book.

Did not disappoint

I love all the old characters in their new roles and the addition of Jack Jr in the mix. Fast moving, reckless, and fun. Listened as audiobook and didn't want to get out of the car!!

The was locked dead on

I've read this series. , but to hear it on audible.com is like going to the movies but listening is the only option. Can't wait to listen to threat vector.

Exciting

Loved it! Played it before bed, on the way to work, on breaks, during errands, on the way home, while making supper, during chores and again before bed. Could not put it down. Moving on to the next one now.

Where does Locked On rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's a good story, and I'd agree that the political stuff can be too much sometimes, but overall I really like these books since I've listened to all the Mitch Rapp series at least twice and need some other sort of fix :-)
Lou Diamond Philips really made the experience great, however. Listening to older books such as The Bear and the Dragon, really make you appreciate the style of Lou Diamond Philips... especially when there are so many different characters and so much dialog. It definitely helps me follow the story since I'm not great with remembering all the names!

The voices. He makes the story really easy to follow.

What made the experience of listening to Locked On the most enjoyable?

Lou Diamond Phillips is a great narrator and his interpretations of the characters keeps the reader interested.

What other book might you compare Locked On to and why?

An extension of the Jack Ryan series, Clancy continues to mature the characters in a logical, natural progression from the previous novels.

What does Lou Diamond Phillips bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lou Diamond Phillips brings the characters to life with accents and variations. It's easy to follow the characters because of his consistency in voices. Amazing!

I would purchase another Clancy book, especially if LDP is the narrator. It's a no-brainer for me.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Lose the blatant support of right wing republicans and slander of democrats.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes - the continuing threat to the campus and not knowing where the threats were coming from.

His ability to portray different characters without the feeling you were always listening to the same person.

Do you think Locked On needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes - i have enjoyed all the books with these characters.

Not as good as og Clancy. Would not reread but ok
