It may be Christmas Eve in New York, but for ex-military bodyguard Ryan Lock it's business as usual. His task: to protect the CEO of the world's largest bio-technology company from a group of radical, and highly determined, activists. But when a failed assassination attempt leaves the streets of midtown littered with bodies, and hours later the son of the company's chief research scientist is abducted from his Upper West Side prep school, Lock's hunt for the boy turns into an explosive game of cat and mouse.
Through the corporate corridors of power and dark alleys of Manhattan, Lock's search leads him towards a deadly confrontation with one of the world's most dangerous women. As the clock ticks towards midnight on New Year's Eve, and the crowds gather in Times Square, Lock realizes that not only is his own life in terrible danger but so are the lives of millions of others....

Probably not, but I will listen to the next I'm the series.
This is the first thing I've heard Elijah Alexander narrate. I thought he did a fine job.
I think the premise of this book is good. Kind of reminds me a little of Andrew Peterson's Nathan McBride. Good story but I had the "bad guy" pegged the within the first hour even though he wasn't revealed until the last hour. I will definitely get the second book in the series, I think this author is talented but based on the first book could use some polish (and a few more books under his belt).
I love listening to Psychological Thrillers , and Suspenseful or Action Novels..
I received this audible edition for free for my honest review.. fast paced action and suspenseful heart pounding.. very enjoyable suspenseful wondering what will happen next highly recommended for true action fans
No. In listening to it, I had the feeling I'd heard or read it before. It was a bit too predictable.
No, but it was interesting.
He did a great job in keeping the interest going.
A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH BLOODBATH
this book started out good. the bodyguard who saves the day. then it gets almost unbelievable-- there were too many subplots. without using spoilers the last 3/4 of the book was crazy. this could have been a 5 star story -- if there were not so many crazy backstories for almost everyone in the book.
Not much stands out in this story. A number of grammatical mismatches . Not much else to say about it.
Close protection; biotech firm; animal rights group; Federal agencies. Talk about a cluster ****. This one kept me on edge from beginning to end. This is my first experience with this author. I will definitely keep a look out for others in this series. 5 stars.
