Harlan Coben has risen to the top of best-seller lists worldwide, attracting voracious audiences for his peerless novels of domestic suspense as well as those featuring his fan-favorite sports agent, Myron Bolitar. Now in Live Wire, he offers a knock-your-socks-off novel that will electrify all his fans: Myron’s family takes center stage.
Myron Bolitar has always dreamed about the voluptuous femme fatale walking into his office and asking for help. The woman standing in his doorway has killer curves all right: She’s eight months pregnant, which kind of ruins the fantasy. Former tennis star Suzze T and her rock star husband, Lex, are both clients, and over the years Myron has negotiated his share of contracts for the power pair. But now Lex has disappeared and a very pregnant Suzze is in tears, fearing the online rumors questioning the baby’s paternity have driven away the man she swears is the child’s father.
For Myron, questions of fatherhood couldn’t hit closer to home, as his dad, Al, clings to life; the brother who abandoned them all years ago is in trouble; and Myron’s teenage nephew needs an authority figure. Myron is soon forced to confront deep secrets in Suzze’s past; his family’s mortality - and before Live Wire is over, his own.

Probably wouldn't be so fabulous if I hadn't read the first nine. So all Myron's bFFs were my BFFs. Going to miss all of them since I binge listened for that last two weeks. Coben' fanciful use of lines from musicals and old TV shows in the friends banter was delicious. His down to earth metaphors, priceless and writing of complex mysteries that had my mind puzzling constantly, tying up every loose end in a way that made perfect sense was exquisite. Loved fight scenes each duck n punch. Win's solid friendship n Espoita's perfect bookends to Myron's personality.
I love all of Harlen Coben's books and this was no different. The Myron Bolitar series is my favorite, so you can imagine my adoration. Great story and amazing performance by Steven Weber to really make the book come alive. This was my first audio book I've ever listened to and Mr. Weber has found a new fan.
Have someone narrate the book who can tell the story without all the hype and normal tone of voice. One voice on there actually screeches.
Love Harlan Coben books, but will just read and not do audio unless the narration improves 100%
Don't know, because I could not finish listening to it.
Yes, Can I return this and get something else???
I consider it weak....Myron has burned out in this book, and it shows, and I don't care for his "mellow" or more likely exhausted persona
I bought this book because it was Harlan Coben. I have never read any of his Bolitar series. It is written more to a younger crowed, but I did enjoy it.
Ok, I admit it. I cried at the end. Narrator was good (finally). Story moved along well. The reveal in the epilog was fairly obvious. BUT worst thing, this is the last one? I want to know what happens to these people.
It fit the book like a glove.
Totally captured my attention.
For those of us who love Harlan Corbin and his sports agent books, you should love this one. Not only does it have the usual surprises but we find much personal information about his family and discover a giant surprise decision near the end. I found it to be like his other books and yet different ( in a good way) all at the same time. Do yourself a favor and get lost in Live Wire!!!
I am enjoying the Harlan Coben books on audio. It allows me to drown out everything around me - generally that means airport noise! Listening to the words allows your imagination to portray each and every character. Of course I love Myron, but he really brings to life each and every individual. Absolute recommendation!
