    "Terrible narration"

I accidentally got this one instead of Barbara Rosenblat and was appalled. I couldn't even get through an hour of this monotonous American voice. It is so atonal that one cannot discern the difference between the characters--which makes getting through even a half-hour more frustrating than entertaining or relaxing. What a waste of a credit!

    "Good book but wrong narrator"

These books are told in the first person by Amerlia Peabody who is English. Having the book read by Susan O'Malley in her flat American voice is a mistake of the first order.
I downloaded this version by mistake and I have to abandon it early on. Now I will bite the bullet and pay more to get the Barbara Rosenblatt version.

"sooo disppointed it wasn't Barbara Rosenblatt"

I should have read the description better, if I had I would not have downloaded it. In this case the narrator is just as important as the author.

    "Flat narration"

The story is delightful, but the narrator's performance is flat and rushed.

    "Lion in the Valley"

I'm sorry, but this narrator can not be compared to Barbara Rosenblat. I really did try to listen to Susan O'Malley , but stopped after the first couple of chapters! The book itself is terrific and I'm glad I can hear the version read by Rosenblat.
