IT'S A BRAVE NEW WORLD

ALL FETUSES ARE PARASITES
This is probably my favorite book by Gerritsen, which is saying a lot, since I like most of what she writes. The technology is dated but the moral issues and the if and how we handle body tissues is a hot topic today.
HOW DO I FIGHT BACK WHEN I'M BEING ATTACKED ON ALL SIDES
Just like in Harvest, Tess digs a hole so deep for her main character, a female physician, you are at odds in how she will get out. Her main character is a no holds barred do what is right type of person, come hell or high water. With Gerritsen you never have to worry about being bored. Each chapter has something of significant happen. Tess does not use fillers.
MAD COW DISEASE
Guidall is one of the best, if not the best in his craft.

Very Engaging!!

Tess Gerritsen is a great mystery writer. I have read her work in the past and this is the first audible book of hers that I have bought. The narrator is good and the character development is great. If you are looking for something that will entertain you and allow long drives to fly by, this is for you.

One of her Greatest ones

I m addicted to Tes Garitson. This book was so suspenseful and engaging, that I could not stop at any point. The narration was perfect. I love her writing style, how all the loose ends come to end beautifully. The medical terminology, which should sound jargon to someone like me without any medical background, yet she somehow explains them without sounding like a biology course. She is the best.

I highly recommend this book.

gruesome at times

good book, the story line was not at all what i expected but it kept me intrigued. i wondered though if the medical terminology may cause problems for readers with no medical back ground, but it seemed as though the author tried hard not to let that happen. it was gruesome at times especially the birth scenes but they were a necessary part of the story. i was a bit disappointed in the ending, it felt incomplete to me as far as solving the case was concerned and the finale' with the main characters.
the narrator was great.

Love medical details? This author is for you!

Good story, enjoyed the characters, and the ending came together more logically than the previous Gerritsen book I read, Bloodstream (yes, with another female doctor). Parts of the book were riveting so that I took a few extra minutes to listen before I had to turn off my iPOD before work. Lots of medical detail, all ok with me because I am in the medical field, but I thought it may be way too much for average non-medical person. One of those books you can do at the beach. Looking forward to my 3rd TG book, Bone Garden!

Just OK!

Where does Life Support rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It doesn't rank very high on my list.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot did not keep me on the edge.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. Just listened because I had nothing else to listen to.

Okay story and narration…

Okay story and narration, part of what made it so disappointing was the superabundance of foul language. Having worked with doctors for years, I know that they don’t curse while a patient is coding or when dealing with one another. Using foul language in a professional setting is still considered extremely bad etiquette! I enjoyed the TV series Rizzoli and Isles, I was aware that Tess Gerritsen’s books that the series was based on was not at all like the show, so I thought I would start with a different story. However, now that I know how much the author uses the F word, let alone so many other offending speech, I’ll pass on reading anything else from her.

It was listenable

Not as good as other books by Tess Gerritsen. Kind of weird; but I was able to get through it.
