A Little Formulaic, But Okay

Not one of the best Gerritsenʻs novels, but I suppose it pays the bills. However, itʻs starting to feel like "insert female doctor here" and "insert medical mystery here" kind of plots. Plus this was not one of the most compelling protagonists either, so I found myself in a state of not caring what happened to her. The redeeming qualities are George Guidall, one of the best performers out there, and the fact that Gerritsen often has some interesting ethical scenarios in her stories.

Engaging!

This is not my style of a 'read'. However, once I started it, I found it hard to let go. Well written and very suspenseful!

Fast-paced and engaging

This medical thriller kept me engaged from the very beginning, with interesting characters and lots of medical detail. I would have given it a five star rating if the finale had been a little less over-the-top.

Thrilling

Tess Garrison's first thriller and its amazing, love it couldn't stop hearing it the plot is revitting and unpredictable. The narrator was excellent most of the books I heard are read by women so I was a little weary about having a man read but he too was amazing. Love it.
