"Richly drawn hospital scenes....Chilling science...and breathless ER-style pacing....A quick, delightfully scary listen." (People)
"[A] spine-tingling medical chiller....The pieces in this adeptly crafted Rubik's cube don't click into place until the final [moment]." (Publishers Weekly )
This book was difficult for me to get interested in. The story was so predictable. I found myself jumping ahead in my mind realizing what was next. It lacked suspense in every way and the narration did not help either.
Megan, yes. Tess Gerritsen needs to finish what she started.
Left out LOTS of details necessary to make the story easier to follow. This is the only book from Audible that I've had to keep backing up (30 second rewind) in order to catch just what is going on. The end is the WORST! Not only were details missing, but I was still waiting to find out if Tobi was okay - HOW did she survive? WHEN did they find her - HOW did they find her? And, did Tobi and her sister HUG and CRY together? OR, did they just go their separate ways and hardly speak or connect again, now that their mother (who was their only common bond?) had passed.
No - but, I hope to.
Can I have my money back?
"Excellently abridged and read well"
This recording is a bargain for 3 hours' listening to a fast-paced and ingenious thriller. Although going beyond what is currently biologically feasible in cell biology it is sufficiently plausible to be believable and the author obviously knows a lot about bio-medical matters. The abridging has been expertly done as the story is coherent and easy to follow. The reader is good.
"I liked it"
A very good reading when I have a few time and I have 2 more books to listen to .julie
