Publisher's summary

To Clare Cosi's surprise, this fall's hottest fashion trend is anything caffeinated - because designer Lottie Harmon, a loyal coffeehouse customer, has just created an ingenious collection of coffee-inspired fashion accessories. So naturally Lottie chooses the Village Blend as the perfect backdrop for fall Fashion Week insiders to view her new line of "Java Jewelry." When barista Tucker unwittingly serves a poisonous latte to a prominent figure on the fashion scene, Clare suspects that the real target may have been Lottie. Now she must protect her thriving business from negative publicity, Lottie from further danger, and Tucker from murder charges - even if it means jolting the fashion world with some shocking secrets.…

Wasn't sure I was going to like this.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Just when you think you know who did it, the story takes you in a different direction. It made me want to figure it out before the end of the book, which I was happy to know that I had.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Maryann finally stood up for herself and any scene with Anatoli.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened on my drive to work and home in Los Angeles traffic, so I wanted to save it for then.

Any additional comments?

I did not realise that this book was part of a series and it makes me want to listen to the others.

Good story.

This was a good story. interesting new setting. Kept listening for the next twist. While I had it figure out once the pieces where there, it was good to hear how it turned out. I also like how Clare handled herself in the end. Well worth the read. I like Clare and coffee.

What a Delightful Romp

What made the experience of listening to Latte Trouble the most enjoyable?

I loved the main character of Claire trying to solve a murder mystery, being as she is only a coffee shop owner. Reminds me a lot of Goldie in the Diane Mott Davidson's series. The writing of Cleo Coyle was smooth, fast paced and totally kept my interest. This book had it all, mystery, romance and comedy.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Latte Trouble?

My favorite moments were the times Claire spent with her ex mother-in-law. I love old characters that are crafty and out smart all the youngsters.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Gibel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't remember if I have but will definitely find more of her narrations. Her voice really made the story come to life, making it seemed that I could see it like a movie in my mind.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did. Loved the audio and will look forward to listening to more of Cleo's books in this series.

I loved this book. True cozy

I think this was my first experience with a true cozy mystery and I really enjoyed it. Some times you just want something light and entertaining with out the complication of most murder mysteries. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for more cozy mysteries. Narration was very good.

murder and fashion!

This has been the best book in the series so far. while it had the twist at the end that the author seems to enjoy there were just enough clues to figure it out right before the sleuth did. I also really enjoyed how Madame played a larger role in this novel, she is one of my favorite characters.

I will for sure be reading on to the 4th book, this was a really good listen!

Unable to appreciate this series.

The good: The tours of Manhattan and comments on its culture are interesting and sometimes delightful.

The bad: The plots are so incredible that they detract from the enjoyment of the story.

The ugly: I am personally offended by the condescension to people like me who have to avoid caffeine for medical reasons.

Excellent narrator!

Rebecca Gibel masters an array of voices an accents, which made this audio book really come alive. From swank Manhattanite to Brooklyn twang to French, East Indian, and Asian, she really “performed” the characters!

Interesting Fashion week story line

I like Klee how the Blend is woven into the activities of Fashion week. The interesting characters that make up the list of suspects are intertwined more than I thought. I liked how the author threaded this all together.
