Critic reviews

;“Well-drawn characters and a wickedly clever plot - you’ll love unraveling this mystery!” (Laura Childs, New York Times best-selling author)

“A mystery with more twists and turns than the scrumptious yarns in the fictitious shop of Lambspun...A clever, fast-paced plot, with a spunky sleuth and a cast of fun, engaging characters...Delivers the goods.” (Margaret Coel, New York Times best-selling author)

“Enjoyable...Series fans will delight in the side action of the regular cast of characters and be on the edge of their seats with a cliff-hanger ending.” (Publishers Weekly)

Wishful Thinking

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes - if they did not own a dog..... I found the entire parts of the dogs involvement beyond disgusting. Especially for that noble breed.

Would you recommend Knit One, Kill Two to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes & No. It has some great fun, but again gets caught up in "mainstream" or rather what society expects today.
I would love to find a book again that is not only interesting, but leaves me on the edge of my seat until solved smoothly.

What about Jane Jacobs’s performance did you like?

Nothing stands out - I am sorry.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Hmmmm. I found little truth about knitting - and that alone saddens me.

Any additional comments?

Glad I read it, not sure if I will listen to it again.

Enjoyable, light listen. Not my cup of tea though.

Something your grandma might like. Tolerable, but a little too light. Narrator sounded like she was reading to a classroom full of second-graders. Not offensive in any way, just…

Enjoyed

Enjoyed, nice relaxing read. Will read the 2nd in the series. Hoping to connect more to the series. As the first book felt like I was reading a young adult novel

Loved it!

Any additional comments?

This was an awesome book. I've wanted to try this series, but just don't have time to read. I was glad it came out in audio so I could preview the series, and I was not disappointed. Right now, the only other audio book in the series is #9, but I sincerely hope that books #2 - #8 also become available in audio soon. Maggie is a talented writer and the narration was very good. The characters were likable and I hope that I can listen to more of this series in the near future. I highly recommend it.

Good Lord at the overuse of the name Kelly!

No one in this entire book can have a conversation with this girl without speaking her name even when it's just 2 plp in a room. Do they think this chick doesn't know her own name? Nerve-wracking! Also she's pretentious and has a very high opinion of herself. Just not a very likeable character. Won't continue the series.

Fun Cozy

I liked this fun cozy mystery. I enjoyed the characters and learning about knitting. I thought the author did a good job of helping the reader visualize the inside of the yarn store.

Knit One Kill Two: A Knitting Mystery, Book 1

I agree- give us more Sefton!! Ms. Sefton's mysteries are very easy reading and listening, but at the same time keeps one guessing. All of her books are very descriptive especially her "Knitting" series. As a knitter I wish I could find a shop like the one she describes. I especially like the reader and look for her narration in choosing an audible.
Pease obtain series 2 through 8. I've already contacted Audible and received a prompt reply as to why only two have been read. Please keep trying to get the publisher to release more.

Really Enjoyed this!

This was very enjoyable! I stayed interested through the whole story. I also liked the narrator. Jane Jacobs voice was soothing and the character changes were also smooth. I've already downloaded the next one!

I loved it

What made the experience of listening to Knit One, Kill Two the most enjoyable?

The characters and the location. The characters in this book are like none I have come across before. Very likable and at certain times they can be very funny.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Knit One, Kill Two?

Gee I would love to tell you but that would give away what could be some one else's memorable moment. Let's just say that at one point in the book, I had to put it down because I was laughing so hard.
I will say early in the book an old song came to mind-I just changed the words a little to
"I fought the yarn and the yarn won"

Have you listened to any of Jane Jacobs’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this is the first time I have listened to Ms Jacobs.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I have no idea what a tag line is, so I will pass on this question

Any additional comments?

I thought it was a fun read.
