Would you try another book from James Patterson and/or Robert Guillaume and Chris Noth ?
Yes,(surely, for the author, not sure for the narrators) but i hadn't noticed which type of version this was. Will only go with unabridged version next time.

Too much going on!
Great story, unfortunately they use too many distracting sound effects, I would recommend you skip listening to this one and insted read it. This is one of Patterson's shorter books anyway.

Not good!!!
first off I should have payed closer attention, I did not see it was abridged, but when I saw Guillame narrated I thought ok cool on that anyway. Wrong again between the horrible narration the distracting sound effects and bad music score, I listened for about 30 minutes and gave up, chalked it up as money lost and went bought the unabridged version.

AVOID!!!
I wish I read the others! VERY poor abridgment! Skips WAY too much stuff. One second Alex is in a car talking to someone and in mid-sentence he is 5 miles away chasing someone - without a break. Very weird. The reading is pretty poor as well. I am extremely disappointed.
