Good, but disappointing

When Ed McBain was alive and in his prime I was not a big fan of his 87th Precinct series. Nevertheless, I am very pleased that many of his novels in this series as well as his Matthew Hope series are now available at Audible. Both series use excellent narrators, Dick Hill and Luke Daniels. I do expect to purchase and listen to many of McBain's audiobooks.

Kiss was originally published in 1992 thirteen years before McBain's death. It is a worthwhile police procedural, but in my opinion is far from his best. Dick Hill's narration is stellar, as usual.
