Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn is back with another nail-biting political thriller that follows the young Mitch Rapp on a deadly mission to hunt down the men responsible for the Pan Am Lockerbie terrorist attack.

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard.

Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes. The door to the hotel room is kicked open and gunfire erupts all around Rapp. In an instant the hunter has become the hunted. Rapp is left wounded and must flee for his life.

The next morning, the news breaks in Washington that Libya’s Oil Minister has been killed along with three innocent civilians and four unidentified men. The French authorities are certain that the gunman is wounded and on the loose in Paris. As the finger pointing begins, Rapp’s handlers have only one choice - deny any responsibility for the incident and pray that their newest secret weapon stays that way, avoiding capture and dying quietly. One person in the group, however, is not prone to leaving things to chance. Rapp has become a liability, and he absolutely cannot be allowed to be taken alive by the French authorities. But it will soon become clear that nothing is more dangerous than a wounded and cornered Mitch Rapp.

Best one so far!

This is my 3rd Vince Flynn novel, and so far I think it's the best. Having read (listened to) American Assassin first, it was good to get closure on the whole Rapp-Hurley-Victor relationship. The plot was awesome and one again George Guidall delivered an excellent performance.

Where does Kill Shot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would say its just as good as all the other books in this series. Did not dissapoint.

What other book might you compare Kill Shot to and why?

Jack Reacher books.

Any additional comments?

Even though this book takes place in the past its nice to see where Mich comes from.

The naration was fantasic as well. I love it when they have the same person narate an entire series.

Action packed.

What did you love best about Kill Shot?

I loved the action, and the revenge that rapp gets over a fellow agent.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was great! I could not stop listening, because there were so many great twists and turns.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Rapp kills the people that set him up.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really got excited when Rapp confronted the agent that tried to kill him.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend every book in this series if you are a fan of the political thriller. Even though Rapp is very much like Jason Bourne minus the memory loss, you will find these great listens.

My first Mitch Rapp but not my last

Would you listen to Kill Shot again? Why?

I'd read this again; it's a great story and since this was my first read of a Mitch Rapp series, I've decided to go through a few more of the series.

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

George did a great job as the raspy voice of the guy that despised Mitch but finally came around at the end; believed his name was Stansfield.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The descriptive ways Mitch approached each encounter with the enemy.

Been There Done That

Would you consider the audio edition of Kill Shot to be better than the print version?

If you are a total Vince Flynn fan as I am, I don't think you will find this one that interesting. Having read all Flynn's Mitch Rapp series, I found this book boring simply beause it rehashed a lot of material from earlier books. Quite a few of the characters in this book were written out in earlier books. I really never quite grasped the 'why's

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

New thoughts, new characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

Victors killing of the CIA agents.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No

Any additional comments?

Maybe a Rapp trainee working with the 'great one
