Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn is back with another nail-biting political thriller that follows the young Mitch Rapp on a deadly mission to hunt down the men responsible for the Pan Am Lockerbie terrorist attack.

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard.

Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes. The door to the hotel room is kicked open and gunfire erupts all around Rapp. In an instant the hunter has become the hunted. Rapp is left wounded and must flee for his life.

The next morning, the news breaks in Washington that Libya’s Oil Minister has been killed along with three innocent civilians and four unidentified men. The French authorities are certain that the gunman is wounded and on the loose in Paris. As the finger pointing begins, Rapp’s handlers have only one choice - deny any responsibility for the incident and pray that their newest secret weapon stays that way, avoiding capture and dying quietly. One person in the group, however, is not prone to leaving things to chance. Rapp has become a liability, and he absolutely cannot be allowed to be taken alive by the French authorities. But it will soon become clear that nothing is more dangerous than a wounded and cornered Mitch Rapp.

Easy listen. Ok story

It’s not a deep mystery piece. It’s cocky and funny at times. I like the various accents and tone the reader takes.
Overall it’s entertaining enough that you would want to finish it.

Love Mitch Rapp

I enjoy this character more and more with each succeeding book. Intend to read them all.
Mitch is, and what he does, sadly improbable. If so, 911 might never have happened. But he is just what this country needs. Pretending he is real lets me sleep better. Love these books.

WOW!!

Would you listen to Kill Shot again? Why?

I am so glad I began listening to this series. The books are great and always exciting. My only wish for a difference is that George Guidall read all of them.

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

He is awesome!!! I have listened to 8 books from this series and I love his portrayal of voices better than all others.

Very Intriguing

I loved it! I had to stop numerous times to take a break because my listening experience was very intense. I would definitely recommend this novel narrated by George Guidall. The author of this series is genius. Thank you Mr. Flynn.

great book written well read badly

What did you love best about Kill Shot?

Flynn shows what a great writer he is - 3 dimensional thinking and writing-character, even the throw away fringe side ones are written out and not 1 or 2 dimensional.

What did you like best about this story?

he thinks good and hard about consequences and aspects and sidelines. how is this really going to play out.

What didn’t you like about George Guidall’s performance?

I don't understand the appeal guidall holds for people-he uses words that aren't in the text-misreading the text. he mispronounces words or reads too fast in some places so you cant understand the word. and uses the wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable distracting from the text and story. please bring back the others who were wrongly given short shrift or bring in someone new-I also don't like the tone and timber of his voice. or the inability to really get into the voice of some characters.

Any additional comments?

again, I'm sorry we're missing a great writer-what a loss!

Good action spy story.

Narrator is excellent. Story is quick and good. Because the story is so quick and full of action, character development isn't as strong.
