Publisher's summary

Matthew Bannon, a poor art student living in New York City, finds a duffel bag filled with diamonds during a chaotic attack at Grand Central Station. Plans for a worry-free life with his gorgeous girlfriend, Katherine, fill his thoughts - until he realizes that he is being hunted, and that whoever is after him won't stop until they have reclaimed the diamonds and exacted their revenge.

Trailing him is the Ghost, the world's greatest assassin, who has just pulled off his most high-profile hit: killing Walter Zelvas, a top member of the international Diamond Syndicate. There's only one small problem: the diamonds he was supposed to retrieve from Zelvas are missing. Now, the Ghost is on Bannon's trail - but so is a rival assassin who would like nothing more than to make the Ghost disappear forever.

Best James Patterson Yet!

The story line is so very unusual it took me by surprise after each few minutes of dialogue. Surprises abound as I listened to this very unique story. Really never guessed what was about to happen as I listened. Felt deeply involved as I learned to understand each character brought into the story line. Performance of the narrators were not outstanding but the five stars I allocated to the book were well earned in spite of the performances of the main narrator. (Just seemed a little weak but filled the bill well in that I was not supposed to know who he actually was until later on in the book). Great book!!! Recommend it to all your readers!

Loved It! More GHOST Please!!!

This was a great book by my favorite author and my favorite narrator. What could be better.

So many twists and turns throughout and then that ending! Unanswered questions abound. I hope we hear more from the Ghost.

Incredible!

I haven't read James Patterson in a while because I'd become disenchanted with some of his recurring characters, but with Kill Me If You Can, I'm totally back on board. I loved this book from its snap-your-head-back fast beginning to its mysterious, let-me-think-about-this end. I can't wait to see/hear more from this cast of characters and, especially, the Ghost. In two words - Loved It!

Satisfying. Fast. Fun.

What made the experience of listening to Kill Me If You Can the most enjoyable?

Met my expectation for a James Patterson story...fast paced, interesting folks, punchy dialogue. Enough twists and turns to keep me keep me guessing, but believeable enough to keep me hooked into the story. Great reader...I forgot he was there. It was all about the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when the Ghost's identity was revealed. It was a delightful surprise. I went back a few tracks to make sure I had not misunderstood.

Any additional comments?

At the end of the story, there were no loose ends; everyone got what was deserved (except Natalia's baby). Time well spent.

Patterson Audible Books are read, they are ACTED!

Where does Kill Me If You Can rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

James Patterson pulls absolutely no shortcuts with his audio books. They aren't read, they are acted. Even if you don't like the content of the story, the excellence of his audibles can not be denied.

What did you like best about this story?

The foreshadowing that Matthew used to be dropped in the woods by his father and forced to find his way home. It made me feel like the main character was born, raised, and trained to be Jason Bourne or John Wick. I don't know exactly but I just expected ACTION and I got it.

What does Jeff Woodman and Jason Culp bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to this book feels more like watching a movie. The narration in your head is not compatible to the execution of this audible delivery.

Any additional comments?

James Patterson's audible books deserve the Oscars for narrations. His books are acted out not read. This accomplished author pulls no shortcuts with his audible delivery and they play out like a movie in your head.

Kill Me IF You Can

This had a refreshing plot and a few good twists in it. I enjoyed the book and the readers. This purchase was worth every dime and hope to see Marshall Karp team up with Patterson again.

Enjoyed this a great deal.

Lots of action and twists. Very enjoyable. First 1/4 a bit slow but realized that it was "story-building". Would love to read another novel by Patterson with Matthew Banner as the main character. Should be a series.
