Hero at large.
I enjoyed the plot as it was a continuation of "Folly" but also stood on it's own. The end did have me a bit concerned!
I enjoyed both the history in Vietnam and the relationship between Allen and Jerry. True family devotion even when the years have gone by.
You are not alone.
I enjoy many of Laurie R King's books, this series was one of them. She brings bravery and vulnerability to the table, often within the same character.
I have been a fan of Laurie King, but this story was a little bit too over the top graphic for me. Yes, what war and trauma do to people has a profound effect on them... but there were places where it was traumatic just to listen to it. I liked the narrator, though... well presented story.
Too bad there aren't more people " Keeping Watch". So many out in this world need them! This book moves along at a fast pace. Never hear the reader. just the story. Have read it , now listened, Great either way!
Laurie King has become one of my automatic listens
Folly one of her best and great narration by Frank Muller
