Publisher's summary

In an uptown strip joint, a cop is found bludgeoned to death. The weapon's a baseball bat. The motive's a mystery. It's a case of serious overkill that pushes Eve Dallas straight into overdrive. Her investigation uncovers a private club that's more than a hot spot. Purgatory's a last chance for atonement where everyone is judged. Where your most intimate fate depends on your most intimate sins. And where one cop's hidden secrets are about to plunge innocent souls into vice-ridden damnation.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

This series is such a good listen

Any additional comments?

I wish I had not wasted my previous credits on books that I really didn't enjoy, but instead used them for this series!

Thrilling book

I love the twist & turns. But, I love Susan Erickson talent to be so many voices. She makes these book series come to life!!!

Refreshing and Interesting

I had my suspicions who the killer was, however, it didn’t come until further along in the story.  I honestly thought it was someone else.  Robb is getting better with each book in this series, not broadcasting who the killer is at the onset of the story.

The real story was what was going one with Eve and Roarke.   For the first time, they were really butting heads and not seeing eye to eye.  Their relationship took on new depths with this battle of wills.  It was an interesting change of pace to have them not getting along.  Refreshing and interesting.

Once again Susan Ericksen is brilliant and it astounds me how she keeps each character the same from book to book.  I love her, and I can’t wait for more.

Fantastic as always!

Love all of the In Death books. Excellent character development and story line is extremely entertaining as always. However, Roarke should have a deeper voice (sometimes too feminine). Also, sex scenes between Eve and Roarke don't have to be so detailed so much; let us use our own imagination more often. Still deserves 5 stars in my book!

Keep getting better, this one my FAVE

Lt Dallas kicks butt. I’ve grown to love this character like crazy! The narrator is tops, and does an outstanding job with all characters... I’m on book 12, out of 48 in this series? This story keeps you interested and twisted ending keeps you on edge of seat.
Keep them coming!!

good book, ok narrator

Overall the book was interesting and I found myself being drawn in. The narrator was just ok, I liked most of her voices and narration but the Peabody voice drove me nuts. While I like the -in death books, I might need to read these the old fashioned way.
