Publisher's summary

Senior FBI agent Nick Pellisante is closing in on the notorious mob boss "The Electrician", when the scheduled sting goes spectacularly awry. Two FBI agents are dead, the boss is wounded, and Pellisante vows the Electrician's next move will be from a jail cell.

Andie Echeverra, a part-time actress and a single, full-time mom, is assigned her next role as Juror #11 in the landmark trial against Mafia Don Dominic Cavello. Everybody is on edge. No one has ever crossed the man whose orders have made entire families disappear.

Though Cavello's influence extends across blue uniforms and black robes, the case should be open-and-shut. But the legal system fails with devastating results, and Nick and Andie are the only ones left to seek justice. To stop the Electrician, they must take matters into their own hands. They are the judge and jury now.

James Patterson spins an all-out heart-pounding legal thriller that pits two people against the most vicious and powerful mobster since John Gotti.

exciting

This was a great book to listen to. Patterson's last book really disappointed me, but this one change my feelings. It kept me entertained and just was so much better than his last book. If you need a good book, this one is it.

Rosemary in Spain

Would you listen to Judge & Jury again? Why?

Yes indeed, I have a whole collections of James Patterson books and often re-read them

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

As always James Patterson keeps one guessing, right up until the end

What three words best describe Joe Mantegna’s performance?

Good, gravelly, listenable

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes when the jury bus was blown up and the child was killed

Any additional comments?

An overall good listen

Great - Until

I am a big fan of James Peterson's books. I am not going to tell you about the characters because almost all the other reviewers do. You can get that info by reading the reviews or the jacket of the book!

This one started out great, - there were not too many characters, scenes were believable & at time a bit twisted, until the end. I won't say what happens but I will say the end was totally stupid & unbelievable. I am so disappointed.

I just bought about a dozen of his books last week & I hope they aren't a bust like this one. I think I will now go read reviews on this book to see if I am off course or what!

I'm back & read a bunch of reviews. There were a lot that said what I am saying and there were a lot more that just raved about the story. I will never understand people. Guess you have to read it yourself & come to your own conclusions. Enjoy.

easy listening

I felt this book was easy to listen to, and easy to follow...a little simple at times, not Patterson's best writing, but I enjoyed!

Good plot

I usually don't like books written by Patterson "and" someone else. They are usually not up to Patterson's level but this one seems like he actually wrote it himself. Joe M did a great job with the narration.

At last, J.P. is back.

This book was soooo...much better than Beach Road. It was exciting, well narrated, with decent character development. The bad guys were 100% evil. You will have to suspend reality at times, but it was still a very good listen. Also, I actually liked the sound effects.

Not the best

Narration is excellent, story is ok. Production was poor as an audiobook I just am not looking for sound effects or cheesy music.
