Publisher's Summary

There's a smartphone app capable of crashing a commercial jet. And it's for sale to the highest bidder.

Attorney Sasha McCandless is closing in on the prize: After eight years of long hours, she's about to make partner at a prestigious law firm. All she has to do is keep her head down and her billable hours up. Then a plane operated by her client slams into the side of a mountain, killing everyone aboard. She gears up for the inevitable civil lawsuits. But, as Sasha digs into the case, she learns the crash was no accident. She joins forces with a federal air marshal and they race to prevent another crash.

People close to the matter start to turn up dead. And Sasha's next on the list. She'll need to rely on her legal training and Krav Maga training in equal measure to stop a madman and save herself.

I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!

"Not as good as the Aroostine Higgins series"

Irreparable Harm is the first book in the five novel Sasha McCandless legal thriller series. The book is just OK and so is the narration. That is a disappointment after Melissa F Miller's Aroostine Higgins series. Looking at the ratings for the other four books in the series it appears that those books are much better. I will likely purchase the Kindle + Audible versions of them at Amazon because the Whispersync for Voice option costs less than half the cost of the Audible version alone.

"Series has potential with a better narrator"

The main character is likeable and feisty, but this series needs more interesting supporting characters and a much, much, much better narrator.

    "Interesting New Author"

I'd never heard of Melissa Miller before but I'm glad I purchased this book. The protagonist is smart, funny, caring, and can kick butt. I'll be purchasing other books from Miller.

    "Beware if you fly...."

Great story, with an interesting technology/legal background, but this is really a well written tale about greed. It is hard not to like the main characters, and dislike their opponents.

    "Contrived and stupid"

A high powered attorney on a major case for a huge law firm hears on the phone that a contact she's never even met is accosted and screaming after he conveniently forgets to hang up. What does the attorney do? Call the police to investigate? No, she jumps on a red eye flight to go to his apartment and investigate it herself.

Unfortunately this is not just one stupid contrivance, but rather one of the dozens in this idiotic book. I will stay away from this author forever.

    "Keeps You Interested"
What did you love best about Irreparable Harm?

The story line--it was something that could happen but hope it never does.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, because of the previous statement.

What about Karen Commins’s performance did you like?

It was very good-very easy to understand.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Plausible Airline Disaster

    "A great fast paced book!"

The story was inspired, it kept me listening past the tome I had intended on several occasions! Twists and turns in the story made things keep hopping all the way through. The narration. was very good, helped bring the story to life!!

    "Thoroughly enjoyable"

Relax and listen to a well written story. Get lost in a world of lawyers and their associations. Be brave and try to figure out the plot. You will be really surprised in the end.

"Don't waste your money or credits"

I found this book banal, badly written, incredibly repetitive. The main character was totally unbelievable and irritating. The reader was dreadful , her Southern American accent really got to me. The actual story line was OK but it took real perseverance for me to finish it. Frankly not worth it.
