Even though Eve can't quite see it that way, it's supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve's personal history with the victim - and by the killer's history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

This is a fast read, but yet still interesting. Dallas comes up against a murder that she solves with an off-planet female cop and the plot is pretty good. Dialog is typically witty JD Robb style with the sense of humor that has some bite to it. Susan Erickson has managed to maintain the integrity of the voices, which is nice after having read a few where she was somewhat off. I'm not sure why the length was so short, but still it was a good read. Readers who have read several Eve Dallas novels will wonder if they have read the love scenes before. They have -- the writing of those segments is very similar to other novels in the series. But they don't take up too much of the novel. JD Robb pretty much sticks to the plot in this one.
This Novella is a great quick listen. Dallas and her team are off Planet on Olympus Resort at a Interplanetary Law Enforcement and Security Conference. Dallas hates that fact that she has to go to the conference, that it is off planet, but the thing that she hates the most is that she will be conducting a seminar. But there is someone that wants to use the conference to take Roarke down, and will stop at nothing to do this. Dallas must work with the Olympus Resort Police to stop this man before he finishes his goal. For a short story it is great, having all the main characters from the "In Death" series and you get to meet the Chief of Police on Olympus Darcia Angelo. The narration of this story is great, you will not go wrong with this story.
Once again, I was able to spend a few hours with my NYPSD family. How I love these characters. This story, while less deep than the full length books, doesn't disappoint. I recommend it. And Susan Erickson is the BOMB!!
Always after books that read well in the tractor!
I had a bit of sticker shock, paying full price for only a few hours, but did not regret it! The plot was simple (not many surprises), but I loved the interaction with the characters. It was enjoyable, and worth the money for fans of the series!
All the characters that make Eve's "family" were there doing what they do best.
Susan has become one of the best parts of the In Death series. I miss hear when I read the books.
Yes! I know it was a short book but that helped me listen to it in one evening.
Don't pass on this book because of the size. You would miss a enjoyable time with old friends. If you are new to the series you will meet most of the clan.
Not one of my favorite Eve Dallas tales. The plot was weak. The bad guy realized the error of his ways too suddenly in the last few minutes of the book. I'm also getting a little tired of all the sex scenes between Eve and Roarke. If I was reading this book, I would have skipped through those scenes and finished it in 30 minutes.
Another hit for the in death series. Short story but, once again this was thoroughly enjoyable. Best narrator for JD ROBB.
For fans of Eve Dallas, Interlude in Death is a like a little Eve vacation. You get to spend time on Olympus Resort with characters we have come to know well. A murder occurs ensues, but it is wrapped around the structure of a conference, and because of the length of the novella there is little in the story that doesn't move the narrative. A pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
I would recommend this audiobook to my Friends. It's really a good story; and to see Eve go up against another woman in charged. They eventually worked very well together
How Eve had to hold back from becoming the primary on this case. But in reality, taking over as she usually does, which is her style.
I've only listen to her read the 'In Death Series', I haven't heard her read any other novels.
I would use the title 'Interlude in Death', I love the title.
