Publisher's summary

In early spring of 2059, Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called off planet to face a grueling ordeal - giving a seminar at the largest police conference of the year, to be held in a swanky resort. A resort which just happens to be owned by her husband, Roarke, of course.

Even though Eve can't quite see it that way, it's supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve's personal history with the victim - and by the killer's history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

Just know it’s short

But still very enjoyable. It did seem abbreviated. I’d love to see it fleshed out.

Interlude In Death

A nice, quick short story involving Eve, Roarke and many other cast members. More info given on Eve & Roarke’s past. The narrator was again fantastic.

A good short story

Where does Interlude in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

That is hard to say. I love the in Death Series by JD Robb. So I am bias when it comes to Eve Dallas. There is not a book in this series that I don't love. There are some I love more than others. You are either drawn into the lives of these characters or you are not. Warning this is just short story. If you want to taste of the Eve Dallas and the in Death Series start with Naked in Death.

What did you like best about this story?

What I always love the interaction between characters and the absolute great narrations by Susan E.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think I enjoyed the team hanging at bar

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Well I hope they don't make a film from this book, rather they start a cable series with the first book

Any additional comments?

Remember this is just a taste of the series and if you haven't read any of this series, you won't really get into it. I think this will only be enjoyed by those who have done the previous books in the series.

Blood doesn't always call to blood.

Good but short. Missed McNabb. However having said that must say storyline was good. Performance was excellent as always.

good book

as a short book I believe it was still great the author can bring it to life and the narrator brings the characters to life.

Interlude in Death

Occurs right after betrayal in Death. Eve and Roarke are judged by association both to each other and their fathers. Iove Mira's quote "blood doesn't always tell, but character does ". Eve will do just about anything to get out of giving her speech, forced on her by her commander. Summary covers basics. Love these novellas. We meet the Olympus Chief Angelo, who shows up in later books.

Narrator sounded a bit off in this one

I am bingeing the series and Erickson sounds distinctly different in this one than the previous books. Could be the studio used muffles the voice more or she had a cold but it was off from the previous audios I’ve listened to and was jarring at first.

Book 12.5 of the Best Series Ever!

The 'In Death' series, written by J.D. Robb & narrated by Susan Ericksen, is a futuristic suspense series. The story is set in mid-21st-century New York City & it centers around Lieutenant Eve Dallas & her billionaire husband, Roarke.

My husband & I both love all of the J.D. Robb, 'In Death' series. We first began listening to them when they were on CDs. We've listened to the entire series, in order, three times so far! If we're driving somewhere, you can be sure Eve, Roarke, Peabody, McNab, Capt. Feeney, Mavis, Dr. Mira, Nadine, Summerset & the rest of the gang are in the truck with us. We love all of the major characters & look forward, with anticipation, to the new audiobooks that come out in February & September every year!

If you're looking for an awesome mystery series, a little romance with a bit of the futuristic thrown in, then you'll love this series! Believe me, you just can't go wrong, but be warned... once you get started, you'll be hooked!
