Publisher's summary

In early spring of 2059, Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called off planet to face a grueling ordeal - giving a seminar at the largest police conference of the year, to be held in a swanky resort. A resort which just happens to be owned by her husband, Roarke, of course.

Even though Eve can't quite see it that way, it's supposed to be at least partly a vacation. But work intrudes in the form of a bloody homicide, and Eve is off and running. The case is complicated by Eve's personal history with the victim - and by the killer's history with Roarke. As danger closes in and the body count rises, Eve must find a way to stop the cycle of violence and revenge, and shove the past back where it belongs.

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

Short but Good!!!

If you love the series, you'll enjoy this "in between" book. Despite it being such a short read.

Sins of the father

What a powerful novella, packed with action and great moments. One of the best of the 11 novellas. A lot of background on both Eve and Roarke's past. An honored Commander has it in for Roarke over something Roarke's father did years ago that resulted in the death of men under his command. When one of the Commander's men is found dead, fingers point to Roarke and Eve must work to clear him of suspicion and flush out the real killer. This one is a definite keeper and has won a place on my To-Be-Read-Again List.

Somart

Another hit for the in death series. Short story but, once again this was thoroughly enjoyable. Best narrator for JD ROBB.

Meh

The ending is pat and predictable but even with that it still had its entertaining and interesting parts.

Fabulous!

Eve is having a very bad day and it only gets worse. She and Roark get pulled into someone else vendetta and she doesn't have home field advantage.

Another Great One

I love the writer and narrator. SIMPLY AMAZING. There is no other narrator that's better. It's always like you're in a movie.
