Publisher's summary

#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon awakens in an Italian hospital, disoriented and with no recollection of the past thirty-six hours, including the origin of the macabre object hidden in his belongings.

“One hell of a good read.... As close as a book can come to a summertime cinematic blockbuster.” —
USA Today

“A diverting thriller.” —
Entertainment Weekly

With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee.

Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Dan Brown has raised the bar yet again, combining classical Italian art, history, and literature with cutting-edge science in this captivating thriller.

Run, art description, Run, more history, Run....

What did you like best about Inferno? What did you like least?

The art history was great.
The story was very weak.

What could Dan Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Change his formula: all his books are the same.

Which character – as performed by Paul Michael – was your favorite?

No character was my favorite.

Could you see Inferno being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Tom Hanks, and someone else who I couldn't care less about.

Any additional comments?

No more Dan Brown books for me.

Dante's Code: crack it--or ELSE!

If you like continually not knowing what is going to happen next, and discovering the next harrowing clue and dangerous predicament, then this classic Dan Brown scavenger hunt with cataclysmic implications is for you.

Constructed around the symbology of Dante's Inferno, this is a fast action adventure through fascinating historical cities by the familiar protagonist Robert Langdon, and a freaky-smart attractive leading lady (Angelina Jolie?)

It gets a little slow around the end of the first third of the book, then takes off again.

Nothing is ever what you expect.

This is the definition of suspense.

Good read/listen

This was as good as expected. I recommend this to any interested in the ancient history of Italy. It is a virtual trip to the inner workings of museums and religious icons there. It is a little heavy with the language & detail therefore a little difficult to keep up with names & places. The basis of the story gives one pause to ponder.

Fine Story

This was a long listen. I don't feel this moved with the same pace and excitement of some of Brown's other works.

Paul Michael is a fantastic narrator.

Paul Michael is a fantastic narrator. No this is not his mother. All Dan Brown novels are entertaining and informative but Michael really brings them to life
