Publisher's summary

#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon awakens in an Italian hospital, disoriented and with no recollection of the past thirty-six hours, including the origin of the macabre object hidden in his belongings.

“One hell of a good read.... As close as a book can come to a summertime cinematic blockbuster.” —
USA Today

“A diverting thriller.” —
Entertainment Weekly

With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee.

Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Dan Brown has raised the bar yet again, combining classical Italian art, history, and literature with cutting-edge science in this captivating thriller.

OK...but not Great

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

If you are looking for a novel on par with prior Dan Brown novels, this is not it. The story is pretty straightforward and a bit slow. There is a twist that helps...but in the end, I was glad it was over.

Great Listen, love Dan Brown!

If you could sum up Inferno in three words, what would they be?

Historical, Action packed, COOL!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Inferno?

Robert Langdon wakes up in the hospital at the beginning of this book, and it's action packed from the beginning, as he escapes from his own murder attempt in a country he doesn't have any recollection of going there.

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Paul Michael does a great job with both masculine and feminine voices, and made a great Robert Langdon voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Inferno: Robert Langdon unravels another action packed plot of a bio-terrorist who attempts to thwart the world, in his psychotic vision of Dante's Inferno for the modern world.

Any additional comments?

Loved it... listened to it twice through!

Another great one!

Dan Brown is fabulous, and I love every story I've read of his. I only wish that I could see all the things he writes about as a read about them! Can someone develop a virtual audio book, please?! :)

Fourth and hopefully not the last.

What did you love best about Inferno?

The amnesia which was not caused by an accident.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. Your friends are your enemies and your enemies are your friends.

Which character – as performed by Paul Michael – was your favorite?

The provost. Cold hearted businessman but realizes there are limits to everything.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The plagues reality.

Any additional comments?

Overpopulation is a real problem. Zorbrist's solution was wrong but he felt he was saving humanity.
