USA Today

“A diverting thriller.” —
Entertainment Weekly

With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee.

Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Worth The Time

What made the experience of listening to Inferno the most enjoyable?

The narrator was great and the story was good. It was a bit predictable but it was worth it. I mean... there really are no more stories that aren't predictable so if you let that stop you maybe you should stop listening, reading or watching anything. I mean people thought that movie where the little kid saw dead people was amazing... please that was so obvious.

All and all a good book.

What about Paul Michael’s performance did you like?

He is just great.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

no

Love and Hate Dan Brown

I wish I didn't love Fan Browns novels so much as the moral of the stories usually go against my beliefs, but they are exciting reads when I need a break from my non-fiction focus.

A good Dan Brown novel, but

The story felt like it was weighted down by historical or archeological mini-data. It often felt like we were taken to a location or event site to learn about the little known trivia about that place. I generally like this aspect of Brown's writing but this time the story couldn't contain it.

The road more often traveled.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, the characters were dull and lifeless, the story was equivalent to a book on the great American B&B's with an author getting so caught up in the sheets thread count they forget to tell you how comfortable the mattresses were.

Has Inferno turned you off from other books in this genre?

The book didn't turn me away from the genre but the genre should think about turning the next book Mr. Brown writes down.

What aspect of Paul Michael’s performance would you have changed?

For some reason it seemed like there was voice over work done in areas and it ruined the flow. Mid chapter his voice would change and it felt like you could hear, *insert drink diet _______ here* waiting for check to clear.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

The first book I ask for and talked about so much I received two hard back copies for Christmas and read the book in a sitting- sometimes writers don't know when to stop milking the same cow.

Very Thought Provoking

An extremely engrossing story that is almost impossible to put down. In addition to learning some interesting history facts the underlying basis for the story is even more troubling and a cause for concern for our future in the not too distance time frame.

He is an excellent narrator with a particularly expressive talent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Would if I could. I listen in my car and was always eager to get back to it.

Any additional comments?

All in all, a very good read. I have even started on Dante's Divine Comedy.

The movie will be better than the book.

Any additional comments?

Again another let down from Dan Brown. I loved his earlier work so I thought I would try again. Sadly this book was very dull. I forced my self to finish it because I have never given up on a book.

Loved it! Dan Brown doesn't disappoint! Great character and story development with excellent believable details. I wish one of these amazing writers would write more in romance fiction!
