#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon awakens in an Italian hospital, disoriented and with no recollection of the past thirty-six hours, including the origin of the macabre object hidden in his belongings.

“One hell of a good read.... As close as a book can come to a summertime cinematic blockbuster.” —
USA Today

“A diverting thriller.” —
Entertainment Weekly

With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee.

Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Dan Brown has raised the bar yet again, combining classical Italian art, history, and literature with cutting-edge science in this captivating thriller.

Excellent Narrator - Great Story

What made the experience of listening to Inferno the most enjoyable?

Dan Brown knows how to tell a story and the narrator was fantastic in pronouncing all of the Italian words in the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I enjoyed all of the characters.

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He pronounced all of the Italian words so eloquently, I would have just skipped over them.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved listening to the descriptions of the museums. Now I want to travel to Italy to see them.

Any additional comments?

I wasn't disappointed. Dan Brown has done a great job in listing so many details that it makes you want to travel to Italy to see for yourself or at least research and learn more.

This book got me hooked on Audiobooks!

Where does Inferno rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was the first I listened to, and it was awesome.

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Paul Michael's incredible diction makes him very easy to listen to, even for listeners who English is not their first language. His control of tempo, voice, pitch, and consistency throughout his other narrated books make him a favorite reader for me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I had to force myself to turn off the audiobook as I arrived to work...

Any additional comments?

Awesome experience, highly recommend it!

Another Great One from Brown

I didn't like this one as much as Lost Symbol, but it was still great. Dan Brown uses incredible history with fantastic storytelling tk make things come alive.

Another great one from Dan Brown

If you could sum up Inferno in three words, what would they be?

Intriging suspensful fast-pace

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. There is a lot of action going on that is interrelated so each stroyline is updated taking you to a point where something is about to happen. Meanwhile you are switched to what is going on with each of the core characters in the same time frame.

Which scene was your favorite?

The critical point in story as everything comes together near the end. At this point you know something dramatic is about to happen and just when you think you got it, you are hit with numerous twists and turns.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole subjective matter centers around the global population exceeding what is sustainable so it is very topical and makes you think.

Any additional comments?

He you like any of the Dan Brown books then you are surely going to enjoy this one. Especially enjoyable if you are familar with the Robert Langdan character. I suspect this one will be hitting the movie theaters in 2014.

Made me want to read Dante's Inferno!

Would you listen to Inferno: A Novel again? Why?

Yes. Many reasons: art history, Italy tourism, great narration, Italian phrases.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Inferno: A Novel?

Realizing who FS2080 is.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene in the Hall of the Five Hundred.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have a copy of Dante's Divine Comedy in Italian, but haven't read it. This book made me want to try again.

Any additional comments?

Like Dan's previous books, I thought it's a fantastic and thought-provoking story. Paul's Italian pronunciation is quite good, which I'm picky about b/c I speak it. My only crit would be a bit more emphasis and animation on the Italian phrases would make them sound more authentic.

Hollywood should make this into a Movie

What did you love best about Inferno?

The twists on the expected twists! you think you outsmarted the story when all of a sudden " Crap! I did not see that coming"

What did you like best about this story?

How is this question any different from the one you just asked????????

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did a good job. I will shamefully admit that he probably pronounced names and places better than I would have done....

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

We didn't straighten Tom Hanks' hair for this one!! He looks normal

Any additional comments?

Great Read. The time will fly by and you will be done with the book before you know it.
