If you'd like a vaguely mysterious mystery with a heroine who "knows she shouldn't but just can't help herself" this is the book for you.
I'm not sure what genre this is supposed to be...is there a sub genre of romance/thrillers?
I will avoid romance/thrillers at all costs!
A bit more distinctive voices between the characters would have been a helpful touch.
I could not identify with the main character Samantha or understand why she was motivated to act like an idiot. I would remove her and replace her with a credible character with some depth.
I was unable to get through more than 1/3 of this book before giving it up as a lost cause.
12 n \\\\ Born and grew up in Scotland. No species of book I do not love. Favorite genre History, thrillers, biography, memoirs etc
No story, no mystery utterly boring and unbelievable bedroom romp.
NO, NO, NO
She does a decent job with very poor material.
The entire book
If you are over 14 this book is not for you.
Yes, but I would tell them to read it instead
Anyone but Alyssa Bresnahan. You can hear her swallow and click her teeth though the whole book. Very annoying, ruined the whole book.
You won't want to stop listening
You forget that she's one person reading the story and just get engrossed.
I will listen to her again. I really liked it. She did well combining the differenent characters from previous 'lives' to bring them all together at a certain place and time. DID NOT see the ending coming at all....which I love in a good mystery! Well done Ms. Jackson.
The book had a great plot line with wonderful twists to it. I recommend this book if you can tolerate the reader. Most of the time she reads the book with the cadence of William Shatner, start, stop...with little appropriate emotion where it should be. I wish she had made a difference in the character voices too.
Say something about yourself!
Might suggest they read the book, not listen.
Pretty predictable, might have cut out some of the "thoughts of Sam". They were tiresome
Drug things out, trying too hard to be "suspenseful", terrible male voices
actually skipped some of the middle of the book, and that helped
This was a really good listen.
If you like authors like Tami Hoag, JD Robb etc. you will really enjoy this book.
As usual Lisa Jackson has outdone herself , making this book as gripping as the others I have read of hers! Outstanding!
