Susan Ericksen is EVERYTHING!!!

Seriously. Nora Roberts is my fave author. I love them all. But Susan Ericksen just takes the In Death series to a whole new level! She is, by far, the best narrator EVER! She simply brings these books to life. She IS Eve and Roarke and Peabody and Whitney and Somerset, etc! I hope she gets paid a pretty penny. This series would just not be the same without her voice. Voices!!

twisted Santa

Roarke is having fun creating new boliday traditions for he ajd Eve. After their childhoods, they deserve each other. This book was interesting, but brutal, especially for Eve and her background. She struggles a little. Someone posing as Santa is picking off lonely hearts in a sick 12 days of Christmas. The team comes together to track down the killer, before his next victim.
Susan does a great job. You can hear Eves distress, anger, etc come through so clearly.

My Favorite Yet!

I was worried I would start getting bored with the books as I go through this series one by one, but Robb does not disappoint! While I have gotten used to the style (always knowing the main suspect is not the killer), this one surprised me with the murderer. Didn't see it coming.

I enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other, and listening to Eve try to shop for Christmas was hilarious. It was also amusing to hear Peabody and McNab's bickering.

Overall, 5 stars!!

Awesome!

These books are great! This is my 6th read in this series & I can not imagine any other narrator. Ms Ericksen has become these characters for me. I love the In Death/Eve Dallas series & will keep purchasing them as long as she keeps writing them.

J.D. Robb as always rocks. Narrator irritating.

As with all of the "In Death" series, this book is engrossing and has really intriguing plot line. Unfortunately Susan Erikson's is as always, irritating, snotty and abrasive. She makes Eve Dallas sound like a stone cold bitch. She does not seem to understand that Eve doesn't have to raise her voice or speak in a confrontational manner at all time. She should be allowed to speak in a normal tone when speaking to people. Even when threatening someone it is more effective to use a calm quiet menacing voice. Unfortunately Ms Eriksons narrates all authors in this manner. However I continue to listen to these books because I love the stories. Where's Loralei King when you need her?

Eve and Roarke's first Christmas together

If you could sum up Holiday in Death in three words, what would they be?

Santa.....murders.....holidays

Who was your favorite character and why?

McNabb---he's coming into his own, his character is becoming more developed. He's part of the gang.

Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. It's comparable to the others in this series. She does a good job.

Any additional comments?

No.

Amazing

I loved that you can really gage the growth in Eve’s and Roarke’s relationship. I also am thrilled with the friendship between Eve and Peabuddy and Peabuddy and McNabb. I would have liked to hear the interview between Simon and Eve! But all in all, it’s a great story that kept me on my feet!

Development

I love this series. I really enjoy how the main character Lt. Eve Dallas begins to have family and how she begins to love not only her husband but others. Lt. Eve Dallas's emotional growth makes her character so slive and real.
