Could you murder your wife to save your daughter?
On the surface, Nick Connor's life is seemingly perfect: a quiet life with his beautiful family and everything he could ever want. But soon his murky past will collide with his idyllic life and threaten the very people he loves the most in the world.
When his five-year-old daughter, Ellie, is kidnapped, Nick's life is thrown into a tailspin. In exchange for his daughter's safe return, Nick will have to do the unthinkable: he must murder his wife.
With his family's lives hanging in the balance, what will Nick do? Can he and his family survive when the evil that taunts them stems from the sins of his past?

Wonderful story well written and narrated. Makes you realize all that your mind goes through when faced with trauma.
I received this free of charge from audiobookdotcom and the author for an honest review.
The book is a nice, short, easy read .There is a lack of depth to the characters and how quickly everything was resolved towards the end of the book. Also there was a loose end that was left hanging that I was curious about.
The plot is that a mans child is abducted from the car. He is sent an email that says he needs to kill his wife to get his child back. Sounds good, right?? Well, while the idea was good, it was poorly executed. Both the plot and the characters were not developed and the whole story felt rushed. While reading I kept rolling my eyes at the decisions of the main character and the book just felt incomplete. I wanted more..... more character development, a deeper plot, more tenseness, so ya, more!! I mean, when the culprit is revealed, I was like, WTF!!!
Anyway, I'm disappointed with it but I do have to commend Nigel Patterson on a job well done! I thoroughly enjoyed his narration, it made me finish the book. A few times I wanted to DNF but I kept going.
I am hooked! I never thought I would be one to like books on tape (or so I called them...shows my age...nothing is on tape anymore)!! But, I am now hooked. I loved the experience and the book.
The narrator was perfect. The lilt in his voice was soothing and exciting at the same time.
Can't give away the story line but I was left a little wanting at the end. What happened, how did it all get worked out? It just ended. I wanted to know more.
Very suspenseful. I didn't know who the kidnapper was until the end of the book.
He did an excellent job of narrating the book. He really brought out the characters.
When Nick finds Ellie.

I really enjoyed this novel it kept me guessing all the way to the end. The narrator was pleasant to listen to. Mr. Adam keep writing novels very enjoyable.
I don’t usually read many books from this genre, but I really enjoyed this one. The narration brought the story to life and held my interest throughout. The story was well thought out, complete and will keep you listening. I will be watching for this author in the future.
* I was provided a free copy of this book from AudioBookBlast for an honest review.
The story was good,I did not know who did it. The narrator was great and I like his different characters, it makes it easy to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a mystery. I received this book for free for my honest and unbiased opinion.
I enjoyed this thriller which was full of suspense and fast listen. He did decide between killing his wife and child. He should have disclosed that email. Worth the listen ! This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast. Thank you.
I was hoping for a roller coaster of a thriller. I'm not sure if it was due to the story or the narration. The narrator didn't sound anything like I expected the character to sound. He was older, obviously a different generation than the character. Thus making it hard to believe, the quotes were weak sounding, making the character sound too meek and mild to believe he would carry out the plot lines. Wish I'd actually read it and created my own voices, think the story would have held more weight then.
I found no depth to characters. Story has great potential but fell flat
Yes it was a page turner - turned it quickly to enable me to finish quicker
Such a shame
"Her Last Tomorrow"
Thoroughly enjoyed every second of this story, had me completely gripped from beginning to end. Highly recommend, can't wait to see what else Adam Croft has wrote.
"Excellent Audio Version of Book"
This is a review of the Audio version narrated by Nigel Patterson. I enjoyed this story very much and as usual the narration by Nigel really brought the story to life. It is not a long story but I find audio books excellent as you can listen to them whilst doing other things. I very rarely have time to actually sit down and read a book. This kept me guessing until the end of the story.
"A good idea. Poorly executed.*spoilers*."
Really really didn't like this... It seemed rushed.
Firstly the friend who had been in prison... Who on earth would ask such a "favour" and have so much trust in someone they hadn't seen in 6 years?!
The sexual abuse bit seemed totally random. As did the whole Emma thing, to be fair. Where was she through the rest of the story?
The stalkery shrine just went a step too far. Maybe the author has some self confidence issues!
The last line was... Well, can someone pass the grater?!
I've never read any of his other stuff and don't think I will bother. He doesn't seem to know where he's going with the story and then it just ends abruptly.
And I found it ironic that it was poorly written. Especially since the protagonist is an author who claims he's good at his job 😂
The writing seems very juvenile. Almost like curse words are being thrown in randomly for the shock factor. And then trying to sound super smart in other areas. And it seems the author didn't know which direction to take until halfway through... It all just seemed very juvenile. Like a creative writing project by a teenager who hasn't yet found his voice. Some parts were actually laughable.
A good idea. Poorly executed
"Kept us interested"
We listened to this story in the car travelling to Germany. Couldn't work out why he did what he did initially, but once he made the decision he couldn't then back out. Made the journey seem much shorter. Will definitely read or download audible of next book. Thanks Adam.
Would recommend to anyone! couldn't stop listening! amazing from start to end. well done. need more books like this one amazing story line
"Audio first timer"
