fun and quirky listen!

I enjoyed the witness of this audiobook as well as the print copies of this series. This series is very entertaining from a humor standpoint, and a literary standpoint.

Entertaining

Very entertaining, light listening. The book was unlike the tv series in many ways but still evoked images of the current tv characters. Even though it was different than the tv series it was not disappointing. The plot was not terribly complex but was interesting and easy to follow. I enjoyed the book very much and will definitely listen to more in the series.

Story ok but the narrator makes it intolerable

Would you try another book from Richard Castle and/or Johnny Heller?

I love the TV series and the book loosely follows it. I would like to listen to the series, but I won't download any others with this narrator. He makes it so boring that I often found myself totally tuning him out and losing what was happening in the story,

Would you be willing to try another book from Richard Castle? Why or why not?

Yes, but not as long as Johnny Heller is narrating.

What didn’t you like about Johnny Heller’s performance?

At times, it was actually difficult to understand his words. He added very little inflection, most of the characters sounded the same and he was just boring

Awsome

Nicki Heat is an awesome female character. She does nothing to give away who the real criminal is to the very end. I was totally surprised. On the edge of my seat. Not to much sex or passion in the story just enough to keep you wanting more.

Shakespeare it aint

I love the tv series and got this one just for fun. The clever thing is that it is written in Castles voice from the show. FULLY RECOMMEND.

Just couldn't get into this book

I always give books at least 2 to 3 chapters. Most books I read or listen to, I can't put down. This one I just couldn't get excited about.

narrator just okay

I wasn't expecting great literature, just a fun light-weight book, but still I was very surprised at the subpar narration. He does bearly more than just a straight reading of the book. What a great shame that they didn't get Nathan Fillion to "perform" the narration. It would have been a great pleasure to hear him narrate the book. Love his voice. This Johnny Heller puts me to sleep with his mono tone.

1st Castle book

Liked the book because it was fast moving. The narration was good, but like a little different tone per character.

Heat Wave

As a fan of Nathan Fillion I was excited when "Castle" aired on TV. This book is a great compliment to the show and a fun read. TV or book please keep the "Heat" coming.
