Publisher's summary

A cold-blooded kidnapper has been playing a twisted game with a terrified Minnesota town. Now a respected member of the community stands accused of a startling act of evil. But when a second boy disappears, a frightened public demands to know: Have the police caught the wrong man? Is the nightmare continuing...or just beginning?

Prosecutor Ellen North believes she’s building a case against a guilty man - and that he has an accomplice in the shadows. As she prepares for the trial of her career, Ellen suddenly finds herself swept into a cruel contest of twisted wits, a dark game of life and death...with an evil mind as guilty as sin.

Hard to follow

I enjoyed the story, but there wasn't much transition between scenes. I'm not sure if it was the reader or director

I loved the story!

What a great story! It had everything… suspense, action and love. It took a little bit to get used to the narrator, but I had no problem following after the first few chapters.

Beware, this is a continuation of another book.

Would you try another book from Tami Hoag and/or Jennifer Van Dyck?

Yes, I think Tami Hoag is a good author.

If you’ve listened to books by Tami Hoag before, how does this one compare?

This one isn't as great as others.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The performance was ok.

Did Guilty as Sin inspire you to do anything?

Nope

Any additional comments?

The list of characters was really long, and I had to write them down in a notebook to keep track. I don't know why so many characters were needed for the story.

Eh... okay but not her best by a long shot!

I usually love Tami Hoag, but this was meandering and even pretty boring. Not impressed.

Awesome story

Tami does an excellent job of writing this story - it could go on ... But sadly doesn't (maybe someday there will be a book 3) 😀. Once again she does not disappoint.

Excellent.

A terrific writer. It's one of a series. They are all very good. She is my new favorite. The narration is also very good.

Guilty pleasure

This is a very silly, very entertaining book. It’s filled with cheap melodrama and bad dialogue. Even so, I loved every overwrought minute of it.

As for the performance by the woman who read it, I thought she did a solid job. Her voice suited the material and she knew how to squeeze tension out of a scene no matter how improbable might be.

While I would not recommend this to everybody, I would put it near the top of the list for anyone looking for the sort of book they used to turn into mini-series back in the day to help them escape from the real world for a few hours.
