Publisher's summary

After a lavish night of guilty pleasures in Monte Carlo, four best friends face an awful morning of arrests - and a fight for survival.

Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. As the weekend moves into pulsating discos, high-stakes casinos, and beyond, Abbie is transported to the greatest pleasure and release she has ever known.

In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened: something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable. And now the vacation of a lifetime becomes the fight of a lifetime - a fight for survival.

Guilty Wives is the ultimate indulgence, the kind of nonstop joy-ride of excess, friendship, betrayal, and danger that only James Patterson can create.

Is it possible?

I understand this is fiction. Don’t know that I will EVER visit France, if the justice system and prisons depicted in this story are remotely possible! Scared the crap out of me! LOL!

Good Read

Excellent narration. The story was good and held my attention. A little brutal at times. I liked it.

Not My Favorite Patterson

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Only the predictability. Too easy to figure out.

Would you be willing to try another book from James Patterson and David Ellis ? Why or why not?

I'll read anything by James Patterson. As for the co-author, I don't know, I figured out the story too early on.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

They needed another voice, a male, to read the male parts instead of a woman trying to sound like a man.

Guilty Pleasure

Loved this story, James Patterson and his co writers never disappoint. the descriptions of the settings were impeccable and I felt I was in France as well. the narrator did a superb job, her French was beautiful. I loved her voice changes and the excitement and desperation was palpable. Thank you! Mercì

A well laid out story that had enough twists and surprises to keep one interested. Great narration performance as well.

Ending was a bit disappointing

Any additional comments?

Okay, so this book was riveting, but parts of it were predictable. I wouldn't have disclosed the husbands as ones who orchestrated the setup, I think that would have made the ending so much better. The prison scenes were surreal. This book made the miles fly by during the a recent trip to Georgia.
