Publisher's summary

New York Times bestselling author Charlaine Harris pens darkly inventive paranormal tales, including the immensely popular Sookie Stackhouse novels.

With Grave Secret, Harris returns to her beloved Harper Connelly series to deliver a thrilling mystery.

Ever since Harper was struck by lightning, she’s been able to see and hear the last memories of the dead. Going on the road with her stepbrother Tolliver, she uses this unwanted gift to solve crimes and bring clients closure. Now, besides handling a budding romance with Tolliver, Harper is on the trail of a particularly gruesome killer in rural Texas, and she must act quickly before more lives are lost.

A tale of dark desires and even darker intentions, Harris’ fourth book in the series shows why she’s become a household name in fiction.

The series was addictive & very enjoyable.

I loved the series, but the reader (listener) needs to be open minded to accept Harper's talent....which is a bit bazzare, but very entertaining!

Excellent

What a ride! This one was pretty exciting and with lots of twists and turns. I guessed early on who did one murder, but I didn't know why nordid I know about the other deaths. I wish the author would continue this series. I like it better thanthe Stackhouse books.

Hoping for more

I know this is supposed to be the final book in the series, but I can't help hoping for more. I've really enjoyed this series, and I think this book is the best of the lot.

When I started the series, I promised myself that I wouldn't expect a Sookie-esque series. While some people really just want more Sookie, I enjoyed this series even more than the Sookie books. It's different. It's meant to be different, and I'm glad for it.

More Harper, please!

Wonderfully Suspenseful!!!

This book held my interest throughout. It cleverly interweaved an interesting plot that was both complicated & hidden. I highly recommend this book to amy mystery buff.

Good Story

I like this series. Sadly, it is only three books. Charmaine Harris writes interesting characters in good stories. I have almost all her books. I enjoy re-listening to this series. They never disappoint.

Pretty Decent

I love the Harper Connolly Series. Charlaine Harris is a great writer. The only thing is that the ending was predictable.

Satisfying

I don't know if Charlaine Harris plans to write any more of these books. If she doesn't, I do feel satisfied with how she wraps this one up, solving the mystery from the beginning of the series. It's emotional and powerful and, well, satisfying.

Enjoyable!

I've enjoyed this series of books for quite some time and this book is no exception. Charlaine wonderfully manages to blend a flavor of the other worldly with a good old mystery. More importantly to me, her heroine isn't a superwoman, but is someone with whom it is delightfully easy to develop sympathy for. My only regret for this is the solution of a long standing mystery in Harper's life which lends an air of finality to this book. Please continue writing Harper novels Ms. Harris!

Sleepy reader

The reader sounds sleepy. Reads very slow. Want to tell her to get on with it.

Excellent

Great build up. Lots of twists and turns. And I love it when I am totally surprised to find out who done it!
Narrator was great at making frightened people sound really scared.
