Now a television series starring Michelle Dockery, coming to TNT this fall.
Fresh out of prison and fighting to keep afloat, Letty Dobesh returns to her old tricks burglarizing suites at a luxury hotel. While on the job, she overhears a man hiring a hit man to kill his wife. Letty may not be winning any morality awards, but even she has limits. Unable to go to the police, Letty sets out to derail the job, putting herself on a collision course with the killer that entangles the two of them in a dangerous, seductive relationship.
Good Behavior comprises three interlinked novellas (The Pain of Others, Sunset Key, and Grab), which together form a novel-length portrait of Blake Crouch's all-time favorite character creation, Letty Dobesh. This edition is the complete Letty Dobesh collection.

I finished good behavior on a rainy morning, it is amazing. I love how Blake Crouch sounds, such love for leddy, I too feel in love with her as well... I can not wait to watch the series. Great audiobook, must buy 😀😀
I didn't hate the story, but I didn't like it. The short stories themselves were just OK, and the notes from Blake Crouch in between were boring. I didn't get this book to listen to him plug his TV show, so it was a big upset to realize that the already rather short 5 hour book was actually even shorter if I didn't listen to that.
I have not watched the show, nor have did I listen to Blake Crouch talked after his first segment. The short stories themselves were rather far fetched, even for Blake Crouch.
Love audible. Speak four languages
Finally get to know a little bit of Letty background. I am currently watching the series and I can say that I am hook to this series and listen the audiobook even made me more hooked to the series and its coming episodes.
I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
The TNT TV series Good Behavior is based on the three novellas in this book. Any one of the three is worth the price of the book. The protagonist is Letty Dobesh who is a 36 year old alcohol and drug addicted grifter/flim-flam artist just out of prison. Letty has a lot of problems one of which is having lost custody of her young son. She is successfully fighting her alcohol and drug addictions, but not her addiction to grifting. She has a big heart and all listeners are bound to love her.
In Letty author Blake Crouch has created a unique, wonderful and unforgettable character who is very different from his characters in other books including the Wayward Pines trilogy. Julia Whelan's narration is stellar. Author Blake Crouch comments on each novella when it is concluded.
It would be impossible to recommend this book too strongly. It is simply fabulous!
People say I resemble my dog (and vice-versa). He can hear sounds I can't hear, but I'm the one who listens to audiobooks.
The original source material for TNT's new show Good Behavior, a short story and two novellas by Blake Crouch about Letty Dobesh, a high-strung grifter junkie, as she executes hotel room, art, and casino heists.
If you're a fan of the show, there are significant differences. The entire second story, for example, as well as the way the other two stories end. But until the end, the initial story is virtually the first episode of the show verbatim. The opening scene of the third story is the opening scene of the first episode, and much of the remainder of that story is in the fifth episode, with a different setting and a radically different ending.
But there is very little about Letty's family and no Javier (except as a name for a different and very minor character). What makes the whole thing that much more enjoyable is that Crouch is on hand to discuss the show and the three stories, how he and show's creator and writer incorporated what he already had and how and why they changed things.
That and the dramatic twist endings to all three stories, as well as narration that comes close to Michelle Dockery's characterization, make this an excellent choice for fans of the show. Those who haven't seen the show are likely to check it out after listening to this audiobook.
this book did not catch my attention, the interview and commentary between the author and the book interrupted the story, im sure it was meant to explain but it wasnt for mme. slow not exciting and i don't like reading about tweakers, most everything else is fine but i hate acknowledging tweakers and therefore don't want to read about them recovery or not...
I am aware of the author even before Whispering Pines books came out so when I became aware of the TV series and saw it was by Blake Crouch then I got the book. Letty is not just a thief and drug addict but a tormented soul with a moral code. A person who wants to do the right thing but keeps getting pulled back. She is an addict and as she discovered in the 3rd novella. Theft and using drug both gave her the same high but what can she do about?
"Another really good Blake Crouch ride"
I lreally enjoyed this, I didn't find the writers explanations off putting at all, they were really interesting and easily skipped, only introductions to each story. Gripped by the character and plots. A good read.
