You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The plot was very twisted--I was annoyed at the ending--but overall, the story was engaging and kept me on my toes.

Any additional comments?

While this book was not for me, it was not badly written--just left me feeling disappointed and led-on. I was very displeased with the lack of resolution of conflict for the main character--but, for some readers, this might be a very pleasing twist on the presumed outcome of the story. ?? Who knows?

Great book!

The narration was wonderful. I enjoyed listening to both the male and female narrators. They both read the book with a lot of emotions. They story was a real "page turner" quite the thriller!

This must be what a black hole feels like

I have never been so shaken by a book before. I've never been so disgusted by 'curse' words before. Gillian Flynn has quickly and easily become one of my favorite authors and I'll continue to read everything she has her hand in. Absolutely stunning characters. The performance here though really deserves extensive praise. Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne are delightfully repulsive as Amy and Nick. The passion of the characters and the tone throughout the book is held in the best hands possible. I'm absolutely stunned by how incredible the performance was. I don't think I'll ever hear the word "Bitch" without being repulsed by it now, and I don't think I'll say it ever again. Flawless job on all fronts.

Oh, there’s a movie, too?

I’m sure I’ll see it, but it can’t possibly be as good as this was . . .

Where does Gone Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's definitely one of the better books I have listened to.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

In the beginning Nick sounded so wimpy that I didn't think I would manage to finish listening but that definitely changed with all the plot twists.

Which scene was your favorite?

No favorite but I liked the descriptions of the dynamics of their marriage

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Torture

This was the most pretentious couple and makes reader painfully aware of a continual ominous outcome. The rich, the entitled, the psychosis all in one audio book! I would have given a better review if ended on lighter note or extreme tragedy. Nothing. Banal.

Wow!

There's a lot of twists and turns. Some things, the way they play out, upset me and made me mad at the characters. The way it ended was not what I expected it to play out but better than so many other ways it could have gone. I really enjoyed that it made me feel the emotions of each character.
