Builds on Excellent Book One

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm hooked on this series and strongly recommend it. I read this in hardcopy, but am still thoroughly enjoying the audio version

What other book might you compare Glory in Death to and why?

This is part of a series, so read Book One first. All of the series (almost 40 books) are similar to one another, but still unique.

Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I like the reader, but found myself a little taken aback at first. This could be because I'd previously read the books in hardcopy, so already had my own concepts of the voices. After a chapter or so, however, I got used to her interpretation and enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

The first three books in the series are crucial to setting up the Eve-Roarke relationship that is the backdrop of the mysteries. Read these first. I prefer the series in order, but after the first three, you can skip around without an issue.

Book 2 another winner

Well I'm on a listening binge. Can't get enough of these books. The murder investigations are great, but the relationship of Eve and Rourk really keeps me entertained.

In which we meet Crack & Ever faithful Peabody

Going back and re- reading/ reviewing earlier stories, spotlights JDRobb’s incredible character building talent. You can’t but cheat for Eve, root for Roarke and applaud Crack and Peabody.

Great Listen!!!!!!!!

Eve is at it again. Once again Roake is pulled into the investigation, because of his relationship with the woman that have been killed. Even though it is a little like the 1st book in that aspect, it is still different. With Susan as narrator this book just couldn't go wrong or be bad. She does an excellent job with the many different voices, especially Roakes. I would recommend this audio to anybody!! Would recommend also to read Naked in Death 1st. Just helps with understanding Eve's & Roake's relationship & their backgrounds.

A bit of a slow story, but really nice.
I am downloading the second book too.

Great Book

I love a good mystery and this series is great - could do without all the graphic sex - can't listen to it when anyone else is in the car with me - but it is a good series. The characters are interesting, the narrator is excellent, and the relationship between Roarke and Eve is evolving slowly. I forget that it is a futuristic novel but that makes it more involving.

Must read!

This narrator is incredible. I would almost commit to listening to anything she reads. The story and characters in the book are brought to life flawlessly by her narration.

Love this series! Heating the series after reading before has got me falling in love with Roake all over again and smiling as Eve does not disappoint. Love her strong attitude but soft heart.

Love Eve, but love Rork more!

Can’t remember a time when two characters had more “heat” between them. Love Eve’s strength and Rork’s Irish Brogue! I’ll be buying this series until further notice...
