The story continues and it is good
Eve and Roark continue to simmer. One of the series' most beloved characters, Peabody, is introduced. And the murders of strong women begin. The series grows stronger with each book. This is one of my favorite series. I have listened to all 40 plus books and have now started over while waiting the requisite 9 months to a year until the next installment. The stories are gripping and the narrator, Susan Ericksen is one of the best. She is the voice of the in Death characters and nobody could replace her. In my opinion, it is her voice coupled with JD Robb's writing talent that makes this series such a success.

Intense
This was published in 1995 and yet some of the technology JD came up with haven’t been created in 2022. Where’s my autochef, inventors?
Anyway, great narration by Ms Ericksen, as usual. Loved the introduction of Peabody and Crack. Guessed the killer early on. Looooooooved Eve and Roarke’s intense romance. 🔥🔥🔥

One of my favorite series
I love this series I’ve read nearly everyone of them, but this was my first to listen to. It was so good, and it brought the story so much to life. I cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series.

And so it begins
Say Hello to the characters you will come to love. Enjoying the character development as the books proceed adds immeasurably to the enjoyment. Read the series in order if at all possible. You won't regret it. And it is Impossible to believe that one woman provides all the narration. I honestly forget I'm not listening to multiple people!
