A slasher movie turns real when two young actors are brutally murdered on a remote island film set. Their severed heads and arms are posed in macabre homage to a 19th-century pirate massacre.
Two years later, Vanessa Loren is drawn back to South Bimini by a documentary being made about the storied region. Filmmaker Sean O’Hara aches to see how the unsolved crime haunts her…and Sean knows more than a little about ghosts.
Lured by visions of a spectral figurehead, Vanessa discovers authentic pirate treasures that only deepen the mystery. Are the murders the work of modern-day marauders, the Bermuda Triangle, or a deadly paranormal echo of the island’s violent history? As Vanessa and Sean grow closer, the killer prepares to resume the slaughter…unless the dead can intervene.

Spend some more time on Bone Island - if you dare.
The storyline is fabulous with Pirates aaaaarh, and ghosts ooooooo. Mystery, romance and relatable characters. Love it. Descriptive writing leads me to think I'd love to visit Key West.
I continue to be slightly disappointed with Angela Dawe's narration. I found that she read much too fast and while her accents were good it was difficult to tell if a man or woman was talking. Slightly confusing.
Nevertheless - A good series.
not being able to do more than two or three voices makes it really confusing. it is also less enjoyable because I have to pay attention to who is speaking, and these books are for pleasure, not for study
I liked the first book in this series but my ability to suspend my disbelief was severely tested when suddenly the same people from book one who could not see ghosts suddenly started being able to see them.
Not in this genre but in this series.
I think Angela has a great vocal range and does great character voices. Great job Angela!
Keeping it just Katie that can interact with the ghost. It just became a farce.
Never figured out the mystery until it was revealed! I love books that keep me guessing. I enjoyed this story arc. Heather Graham books are fast becoming some of my favorites.
I enjoyed the series and I am a lover of ghost stories. The narration was not the best but I can overcome some of those things it the book if interesting to me.
Good 2nd in series. You have to like paranormal/ghost stories (which I do) to like Heather Graham. Nice suspense--creepy island. My only knock is that the narrator did the voices of Sean and Vanessa so similarly that I often did not know which one was supposed to be talking until I got the he said/she said!!
Finishing final semester pursuing Bachelor's degree in English.
Heather Graham is a talented writer. She creates believable characters and eerie situations.
It was a little far-fetched that both of the protagonists could see ghosts and didn't know it about each other.
I have not listened to Angela Dawe's performances prior to this, but she did an excellent job.
