Love it almost as much as Daemon

I needed closure from the first book and this second one gave me everything I needed. 100% recommended

A Wild Ride !!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Freedom TM one of the most fun and suspenseful stories I’d listened to in sometime
The jump and turns in the story had me binging the book.
And while the story is very fantastic it is also very thought provoking the themes while probably not possible are quite plausible.
And like most people who enjoyed audible the narration is very important and I feel Jeff Gurner did an awesome job

This is a great series. It’s not perfect, but if you’re looking for a techno porn thriller about a global conspiracy to change humanity you probably won’t do any better.

Incredible Sequel With Dynamite Ending

I was afraid that the sequel might not hold up to the strong beginning, but instead, it was even more satisfying.
Should be read by all concerned with the potent threats to democracy that the misuse of technology can create.
To those who go on in this book, the question posed by Matthew Sobel at the end is thrilling.
Daniel Suarez is to be congratulated on his thought-provoking classic.
The Audible rendition is wonderful. The readers are great and the special sound effects augment the text well.

Liked it but it took a while

This book is sooooo technical, that it took a while for me to begin to grasp it. I started to give up on it in the middle and almost quit. Toward the very end it all came together.
There are many things happening at multiple levels. Religion, Politics,War, Human interaction comparisons to present and future and of course tech....It is one of those books that you will think about long after you are done.

Intruiguing follow up to Daemon

What made the experience of listening to Freedom (TM) the most enjoyable?

This was a good follow up to Daemon. I didn't think the book would head in the direction that it did but I applaud Suarez for it. Unfortunately I think Suarez missed a chance to make this a trilogy. There was so much societal development that he could have played on that more. I didn't think this was as good as Daemon but he brought it to a satisfactory conclusion.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The book moves quickly. There are a couple surprises.

Which scene was your favorite?

The Loki based parts were the most intriguing. I also liked anything with Ross or Sebeck.

Terrific sequel to Daemon. Outstanding narration.

When I finished Daemon, I was somewhat dissatisfied with the conclusion, as reflected in my review. I subsequently learned that Mr. Suarez could not find a publisher for Daemon, so published it himself, and it became an internet sensation. That is a perfect example of what that book illustrated; the internet has made a fundamental change in culture as well as business, not all of which is positive. I feel that Freedom was even better than Daemon, less repetitive and even more relevant to the financial crisis of 2008 and its aftermath, including the response of the Obama administration. The story moves along quickly toward a satisfying resolution, although the question Sobel posed near the end isn't really one that needs to be answered "yes" or "no." The writing is excellent, although the author seems less comfortable handling romantic situations and conversations than when describing technology or creating action scenes.

The narration is outstanding, and having a woman reading the headlines is a bonus. I felt the length was better matched to the subject matter than in Daemon, which seemed a bit too drawn out. I noticed that, in written form, Freedom was only 50 pages shorter than Daemon, a difference of a bit more than 10%, yet the audible version was more than 4 hours shorter, about 25% less. I didn't investigate why that is; probably the result of a different typesetting in print form.

Extremely well written and narrated. Enjoyable story and very detailed. The pace didn't drag or go too quickly

Fantastic Conclusion!!!

FREEDOM is an exciting sequel to Daniel Suarez's first novel in the series, DAEMON. This is the final book in the series and it is jammed packet with excitement, action, corruption, and suspense. We delve deeper into the characters we met in DAEMON and learn more about their journeys since. This book wraps up unanswered questions from DAEMON and goes into much more detail. I found FREEDOM to be thrilling and full of twists. At times i was so suprised and i never knew who could and couldn't be trusted. This fast paced series is fully recommended for anyone who loves excitement and suspense!

Good story

What made the experience of listening to Freedom (TM) the most enjoyable?

Great and very complex concept. Definitely a must read for all the techies out there.

I actually loved both this and the Daemon, but spaced out during some of the too long technical explanations.
