Publisher's summary

Was she an angel from above, or a walking time bomb of doom?

His life having crumbled, Blake Gladstone returns to his hometown of Santa Fe, and tries to settle back into the unsatisfying life he'd had before he left for Florida. When he meets Denise, a pretty young blonde with a bag full of tricks, his sad routine breaks, and the more they get to know each other, the more Blake can't figure out if he's on a road to salvation, or a road back to hell.

Powerful & Moving Story Read With Emotional Depth

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend! This was an excellent story to begin with, and when read by Trent Zelazny, the emotion seemed to pour through his voice and into the story even more. I simply put on my headphones and let Trent's voice carry me along with his dark, gritty and self-exploratory story. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone, not just friends :)

What did you like best about this story?

Fractal Despondency helped me feel grateful and appreciative for the life I've lived, even though like everyone I've had my share of ups and downs. Blake Gladstone sure hasn't had many breaks though, and anything that seems to be one turns into something else entirely. With impressive character development that is accomplished without any long-winded paragraphs or chapters, Fractal Despondency takes you into the tormented mind of an alcoholic dropout from life, who has suffered incredible pain and loss in his life and above all else it seems he desperately wants to end it all, but something deep inside him, buried very far down is struggling to be heard, and it's that type of character identification and connection that makes Trent Zelazny's prose stand out from the rest. This story will likely challenge you, but above all else it lingers, and makes you think about things you may never have considered, and in ways that may never have crossed your mind before.

What does Trent Zelazny bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Raw powerful emotion that can't be found unless you've lived it. You can hear it in his voice...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I like the book's tagline; Was she an angel from above, or a walking time bomb of doom?

Any additional comments?

I gave Fractal Despondency 5 Stars across the board, this was an excellent story, and very well read by Trent Zelazny.
