Publisher's summary

Navy SEAL turned covert operative Scot Harvath is called to action once again in Brad Thor's hottest political thriller yet.

Buried within the black ops budgets of the Department of Defense, a new spy agency has been created. Unfettered by the oversight of self-serving politicians, it reports only to a secret panel of military insiders. Its job is to target Americas enemies - both foreign and domestic - under a charter of three simple words: Find, Fix, and Finish.

Recruited as a field operative, Scot Harvath has just returned from his first assignment abroad when a bombing in Rome kills a group of American college students. The evidence points to a dangerous colleague from Harvath's past and a plan for further attacks on an unimaginable scale.

Harvath is tasked with leveraging his relationship to lure the man out of hiding and kill him on the spot. But what if it is the wrong man?

Simultaneously, a young woman is struck by a taxi in a hit-and-run in Chicago. With only two intoxicated witnesses and over 5,000 cabs in the city, the Chicago Police have given up on their investigation. But when the family's attorney digs deeper, he will uncover a shocking connection to the bombing in Rome and the perpetrator's plans for America.

As the story rockets to its conclusion, the plots intersect in a race to prevent one of the most audacious and unthinkable acts of war in the history of mankind.

Take another thrill ride with Scot Harvath.

I liked it

I enjoy Thor's books especially when he brings some of the more interesting characters back, such as the troll and his dogs. I recommend this read

Nonstop action and intrigue from beginning to end.

While most of Brad Thor's books are great, this is easily one of his best.

Preferred reader

Armand is OK as a storyteller but I prefer George Guidall. The story was superb as expected from Brad Thor.

Thor at his best

Amazing book. The alternating storylines were fantastic and left you hungry to find out how they all clicked together. Absolute page turner(so to speak). The author getting the months wrong in the auto body repair garage seemed a bit clumsy, but it’s forgivable. Another fantastic installment.

Harvath's my Hero!

I'm a charter bus driver and often drive all night. I listen to brads books to help me stay awake. With Scott Harvath ridding shotgun with me it's an exciting night. Love learning about the foreign places along Scott's journey.

Another winner!

Brad Thor continues to keep me on the edge of my seat!.........The only suggestion I would have..get Scott Brick to read. I am use to Brick reading some of his novels, and he is far superior to this reader.
As listener....I was unable to discern between the male and female in this readers voice........
PS.....The troll is really an intersting character and I hope he continues to show up in future novels.

un-put-downable

Won't knock Atlas Shrugged from the top of anyone's greatest books ever list, but a compelling storyline, engaging characters and enough believability to make it exceptionally enjoyable. Best consumed in long chunks, though, because once you get started, you won't want to stop.
