Propitious Pickett

I am very glad to have come across this series. This was my first book by C.J. Box and in the, Joe Picket, series. This book stood on its own and made me want to read more in this series.

Even though the story is set in Wyoming and follows a game warden, it is not anything like the Walt Longmire series. I enjoyed it very much, it was original, informative and had great characters that I'm looking forward to getting to know better.

David Handler did an excellent job with the narration. I have listened to him before but this is his niche, his voice fits Joe Picket perfectly.

Complex intense story

Interesting storyline. Compelling listen. Impressive narration. Some details not for the faint of heart. Joe Pickett at his best.

A relaxing yet great mountain mystery.

If you could sum up Force of Nature in three words, what would they be?

Close different friendships.

What did you like best about this story?

The way Nate and Joe Picket do help each other but on different sides of the law.

What does David Chandler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He can bring out their personalities and feelings of each different character.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Watch your back

Any additional comments?

A great series. I enjoy series and glad when Audible shows them so I can happen upon them.

Maybe the best of the series, questions answered

We learn a lot about the mysterious Nate. Disturbing information about our government surfaces. Joe Pickett, righteous patriot, game warden, family man, faithful friend proves again the his loyalty runs deep. Some brief graphic violence but not as much as some previously in this series.

Thrill a minute action!

I have read and totally enjoyed all the prior Joe P books and this one is the most action packed thriller in the series yet. Plus it gives a really good look into Nate's past and why he is the man he is.

another good book in the series..

I'm sure they'll never follow the books and the TV series because of the author trying to illustrate the truths of politics and behavior of politicians and the behavior of government.... Joe Pickett's basically a good family man who tries to do a good job and that's not always an interesting thing the focus on the books is usually entirely on him and will be interesting to see if they try to follow the relationship he has with Nate Romanowski I somehow think they're going to make it a lot more politically correct ... just makes me sad I wish they would follow the plot lines of the books more and have the characters reflect the books instead of what some Hollywood showrunner thinks will sell even though the author has millions and millions of books sold and therefore millions and millions of fans

Never disappointed with Joe and Nate!

I read all the books over the last 15 years. Now, we’re listening to the audiobooks. What a delight for my husband and I! Both retired now and I swear, we drive longer just to hear more. We also have Amazon prime and listen to audible across our TV. Retirement is a joy with our friends Joe and Nate!

Super cleaver

What was one of the most memorable moments of Force of Nature?

When Nate left something in Joe's mailbox no one would think it would come into play later in the book. Just wanted to stand up an clap!

What does David Chandler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His narration really gets you into the characters

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Nate, here you might need this!

Bodies everywhere

I like these books because the settings are a character in the stories. The survivors creep away wounded in flesh and mentally
