Great story, but terrible narration
This was a great story with a lot of we written drama and suspense, but the narrator choice was awful. The person reading sounded like a senior citizen and really didn't do the main characters justice when he spoke as them. It made it much more difficult to envision the characters and really get into the story.

Get a woman to do a woman's voice! Yuck!
The story is very good. Dick Hill narrates many books and he can't do a woman's voice. His women,as portrayed by his voice, sound as though they have been beaten with an ugly stick. This book had a very ugly woman throughout!

A True Thriller!
I thought Dick Hill did a superb job. The characters were believable, the dialogue sharp, and the plot kept me listening. The romantic involvement was low key and tastefully done. It wasn't immediate or forced. I didn't have a problem with it at all. I hope to see more Nathan McBride adventures from this author!

Really Good
1st book by Andrew Peterson I have listened to, and its a great listen. The plot is rich ingood scenes but does not get bogged down. Characters are very good. This is one of thoses books you can not put down until your done. Dick Hill is excellent and put life into the characters. I'm off to get the next Nathan McBride book

suspenseful with great plot. was not familiar with author but will be looking for more from him in future. My favorite narrator of all time is Dick Hill. That was the deciding factor. another terrific job.

This is hard to fathom that this is Andrew Peterson's first foray into the thriller genre. Dick Hill does a great job of bringing all characters to life. Make this a character revelation to look forward to!

DEAD ON
Andrew Peterson is a writer's writer. His debut novel, FIRST TO KILL had my heart racing from the first paragraph in the prologue. His hard-edge prose never let up. If you enjoy thrilling action in a fast paced novel with strong characters taking you on a wild ride through a plot filled with twists and turns, then you'll love this book. I won't delve into the story line, others have done that here, but I'll just say Peterson's well known expertise as a sharpshooter comes through in his writing. He knows his stuff and his aim is dead on.
