An average read
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The personalities of Sean & Michelle seems to have changed, don't know if this was the narration or the actual story. I liked the pair in the other novels, but now couldn't care what happens to them at all.I was very disappointed in the story. There was no real mystery in either of the two short stories which were combined to make a novel lenght book.
Would you recommend First Family to your friends? Why or why not?
There are so many really great audio books available, I could not recommend this particular one.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Ron Larty naratted well, but I did not like how Michelle was portrayed. But that could have been the authors fault.
Any additional comments?
I read the first few books in this series, but I don't think I'll be reading any more. Anyone got a really good mystery writer they would like to recommend.

Great Book - But what happened to Scott Brick?
The change in narrators was so hard for me to adjust to and I prefer Scott over the new narrator. Even at the end, I still had issues following the characters due to this change. Why would you change in the middle of a series? Otherwise loved the book.

My Favorite Of The Four In this Series
I loved this books - seriously great series and I hope David Baldacci is planning on more. Michelle and Sean are a perfect balance for a partnership. In this one, you really can't decide who the good and bad are. Intruiging plot and a very satisfying ending. The new narrater was fine... but I really don't like change in narrators in a series after I have been through a few of the novels already.

Compeling
Shawn King and Michelle Maxwell do it again. I really did not figure out the plot until the author wanted me to. He has woven a very complex series of related events. He superposed a second unrelated case on the primary one, mainly to help us understand Michelle Maxwell's demons and further establish her character. The main case with the first family is very believable in light of all the real life incidents of politicians we have heard about in the past few years. Really well written. Since, after reading several of this series, I feel like I know King and Maxwell, I especially like how he deals with their partnership in this one. The reader does a good job too. If you liked the others in this series, you will not be disappointed.

First Family Outstanding Story
First Family will keep you in suspense until the very end. Lots of action and great dialog. I highly recommend this story by Balducci

great book
This was a great book, but very long. I took a four hour trip to see my daughter and listened the whole way there (4 hours) and back (4 hours) and still had a lot of listening to do after I got home.
