Publisher's summary

A decade ago, artist Peter Faust murdered a woman and was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Today, unrepentant and living in L.A., he's become a cult celebrity among the radical fringe. When one of his fans appears to be stalking him, he hires rogue security consultant Abby Sinclair for protection.

Unfortunately for Abby, her longtime adversary, FBI agent Tess McCallum, also gets drawn into the case. Both are about to discover the true meaning of evil.

Critic reviews

"In Abby and Tess, Prescott has created two of the fiercest and most commanding heroines to come along in a while...A daring dynamic." (New Mystery Reader)

Pretentious ramblings of a psycho

What would have made Final Sins better?

The villain is a German serial killer who subjects the listener to his endless philosophical psycho babble. This is made more intolerable by the narrator using a faux German accent that sounds like the Count from Sesame Street!
I regret being so critical because I am usually a Michael Prescott fan. But the awful accent of the villain and the one dimensional characters made this audiobook a major disappointment!

Would you ever listen to anything by Michael Prescott again?

Yes! He is a good writer but was sure "off his game" with this stinker!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Worst German accent for the villain and his naïve girlfriend sounded like a Valley Girl on a bad day!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment and a slight cringing at the narration.

Psycho Thriller

Prescott writes decent suspense novels. This is a good one. It’s not great, but it is good. Narration, as others have noted, is a bit trying.

Recommended if your a Prescott fan.

Loved the book but the narrator has 1 major flaw.

Would you listen to Final Sins again? Why?

Probably not. I loved the narrator but she has one fatal flaw that disturbs the listening experience. She uses a hard G when speaking. For instance, instead of saying ring, she says ringa, blinga, etc. You are right in the midst of a great part of the book and out comes that little hard G. I just found it distracting. It's up to you to decide if it is a fatal flaw.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Loved the plot. Kept me very entertained and really made me listen.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you like serial killers with your cereal, you'll love this book!
