There outta be a 'truth in genre' warning on this thing -- somewhere it should be disclosed that this is a romance, of the harlequin variety, so that those who like romances can find it. And those of us who don't, won't be misled. If I have to hear the sweet young narrator describe someone's "brrrrrrEASTS" one more time, I'm gonna howl. Where's the blood and death I thought I was getting? <g>
Overall I think the story had a good plot. There is alot of repeating sentences, it made me think I had hit the button that backs up the book. Editing could use some work. I enjoyed the narrator.
I usually love Lisa Jackson's books. However this book had multiple sex scenes(very descriptive) with 14 and 16 year olds. Disgusting. I understand if she was going for a certain character but there was no reason to go into detail with children.
I love Lisa Jackson, but the production of this book drove me to distraction. Some of the reading ended abruptly only to start the next scene immediately with hardly a breath between sentences. I had to rewind and re-listen to it thinking that the recording skipped. I had to do this several times. Then at other parts of the book, there was so much dead air that I thought I hit stop by mistake. This really made listening to this book difficult. I wish I would have read the book instead of listening to it.
