Forgive Me Father is a suspense thriller about Nicole who was on a mission to kill her ex-husband, Tom, who obtained full custody of their son. She hired a shady attorney, Howard Mancini, who clashed with Detective Roger Drake.
Will she succeed in killing her ex-husband or in extorting money from priests? How will the priests react? Will Detective Roger Drake stop her? Can her shady attorney save her? Forgive Me Father is a pause-resister with unpredictable turns and twists that will keep the listener guessing.

This was a very strange audio book. It wasn't until I heard the author thank his wife and teenage daughter for the female perspective, that I understood. Also it could use some major editing, quite a few times the same word was used 3 times within 2 sentences. The plot rambled a bit but overall not bad for a first book.
The narration is very well done. It was easy to listen to.
I really enjoyed this book . For this to be R.P. Wolff first novel he did a good job . Learning from Stephen King was a good ideal you learn from the best. The narrator was also good very entertaining to listen to. Once again very reading.
I read a lot for review and this turned out to be very interesting. Admittedly the narrator was awful, the editing poor, the story rough but somehow I still found Nicole sociopathic and narcissitic like a train wreck I couldn't turn away from. Beauty can't solve everything it seems! Could have been so much better but kept my interest. Look forward to more from this author!
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review . This was the authors first book and it definitely showed. The characters weren't developed at all , there wasn't any depth to the story and it came off very cheesy . I think possibly it would have been slightly better if I had read it myself vs listening to it. The narrator was really bad , not pausing at commas and pausing where she shouldn't , run on sentence reading , not to mention putting inflections on the wrong words in the sentences .I do hope the author tries again though , the story had an interesting concept . Good luck.
Yes I would. It was refreshing to hear a crime story with a different take than most others. I enjoyed it very much.
Yes. You never knew from one moment to the next what the main character was going to do.
Unfortunately, there were some annoying habits that almost made me stop listening to the book. The narrator has a hard time switching from a character to the narrator. For example, when a character in the book would ask a question, she stated "she asked?" Also, throughout the book there would be a strange sound, almost a groan, after sentences. The cadence was off, it sounded like someone struggling to read a book out loud in class.
She was a woman with a plan.

"Very different and intriguing for it."
Beautiful but evil
A different slant on crime
I can't. Usually we are waiting for a hero/detective/FBI etc to solve a murder or prevent a disaster. Here we are looking to perpetrate a crime with a beautifully selfish person in the lead. I liked it. It's good to be different.
If you are looking for an edge of your seat, up all night reading, suspenseful, then look no further. The characters were very real and likable, except Nicole. She is a true villain, only thinking of one thing, herself, which is a brave thing for an author to do to the main character. This is a great book.
I love the idea of this well written book. A lead character who is a villain that is part enchantress and part serial killer. The reader is repulsed by her sexually warped & manipulative behavior, but can't tear themselves away from reading the next chapter. Well done.
