A terrifyingly gripping thriller of East End violence and corruption.
Eleven years ago Marie Carter was convicted of killing her two best friends. And she's paid the price. Now she is being released from prison. It's time to go home. But life has moved on, and Marie has nowhere to go. Her parents have disowned her; her friends have abandoned her; even her kids don't want to know.
But some people out there are watching her, following her every move - they know that Marie Carter wants retribution.

The shocking twist at the end of the book will leave you reeling
The moment when Maria finds out the shocking family secret.
When Tiffany passes away, I felt genuine grief.
This book is a must read for anyone who loves books with twist and turns in every chapter. This book had me addicted, from the first chapter.
Martina's writing takes you into a world that's filled with betrayal, violence which doesn't always make for an easy read.
Yes and have done already. It's a good story.
Marie Carter. She's a great character
All of the Southern characters are Annie's best. I can't say I like the Northern accents.
Not really. I did really enjoy the story though.
the narration took you into the story and kept you there.

"A bad language warning should be used"
Audible, you have a new website, you need to work on warnings on some of these books. The language in this one is far too much and very offensive. I never finished the book and won't purchase any more from this author. I am no prude but found this too much.
Is it not possible to have a foul language warning? I don't need my ears assaulted this way.
